Anyone getting these errors from Adobe apps on the new MBPs?
I'm running the M1 Max w/64GB
Constantly getting these errors and having to reboot etc... frustrating :/

I got that Overlord plugin you suggested. This thing is a winner. I did a side by side on my logo which had a lot of Illustrator shenanigans.
What worked: gradients on strokes, which is amazing since getting any gradient to work in AE from Illustrator is pure luck.What didn't work:
Stroke width profiles made with the Stroke width tool in Illustrator. That's not even a feature in After Effects.
A blend object that had two diagonal lines with strokes.There may even be solutions for those issues. I didn't go through all their documentation yet.
Not bad for $45.

- Sweet! Glad that's working out. IMO Overlord is the best tool for moving between these apps. The XD trick is still faster for lots of text objects!evilpeacock
- ...and @MrT is correct — any really fancy visual attributes in AI will need to be "expanded" or "flattened" to work. That's the norm with most apps anyway.evilpeacock

After Effects can extract live text from a Photoshop comp but it can't do the same with Illustrator. I can't be the only one who has wanted this for the last 20 years.
- Hint: Open your AI file in Adobe XD. Select all artboards and use XD's specific export to AE command. Voila! All your text is native in AE with a few clicks.evilpeacock

This crazy Photoshop bug still exists on Mac.
With Photoshop open (in the background) browsers can often loose the ability to show the pointer icon (the hand) when hovering over a link. Madness!

Fucking Annoying Illustrator Quirks volume 58.3
• Sometimes my Start key won't work when Illy is in focus. No idea why.
• If I copy something from a file, then close it before pasting it in another file, it soemtimes won't paste. I've just worked out the logic of this, thinking that I'd simply been fumbling the shortcut on this shitty keyboard, but I've just tested it and nup, it's just Illustrator being fucking retarded.
Both of these have been an on/off problems for ages now.

Photoshop Q...
I'm either stupid / old / senile ..... but wasn't there a setting to show the content outside the bounds of the canvas in Photoshop when transforming (it appeared at 50% opacity or something)? Where is this setting hidden I can't find it?!

EPS Previews:
Is there a way to save an EPS of one artboard, without the preview having the entire pasteboard and all artboards?
At the moment my workaround is to open each EPS, duplicate the artboard and remove the original, then save.
Surely there's a better way?

Illustrator just gets more and more abstract and borked:
I have a locked object and some similar unlocked objects that I want to adjust with the direct selection tool so that they align with the locked objects. Simple enough.
Except, for some reason, today Illustrator has decided that it will edit the locked object as well, but only when using the direct selection tool.
So, to get around this, I have to put the locked object on a locked layer, but obviously this just gets in the way of workflow, so I've been swearing every 7 minutes or so when I revert to autopilot.
This means that I've introduced a couple of errors along the way after doing minor amends, not realising that I'm amending the locked object too.
It only does this with direct selection, not drag select, or anything else.
Very annoying.
