I still think Adobe should drop their price or at least equal the US price in Canada instead of keeping currency conversion, that would be a start.

I tried h4cking CS6 this weekend and only have PSD+LR subscribed. That would have mean 14$/m instead of 78$/m ... (in canadian dollars) I didnt want to h4ck the whole thing.
Its worked for some time but i started to have some bugs yesterday.... so i re-subscribed to the whole CC shit.

has anyone else found it more difficult to click and drag paths or lines in illustrator? I put the cursor directly on the line to move it and it doesn't select it. I have to actually click just off the line to move it.

Anyone using a M1 Macbook had a 'Your system has run out of application memory' warning while using after effects?
Was getting all the final clips together I'd rendered out in Blender smooth as fuuuuuuck then comping them together in After Effects, then it just decided to use up 198 gigs of memory on my machine and take ages to render even the simplest of clips.
Ended up missing seeing Max Cooper up til 4am doing renders and drove home from the studio in full sunshine.
Seems it's a common issue.
It's been mad doing loads of node based loops in Blender that run super fast and easy and After Effects still fucking struggle even on a super fast machine.

Every couple of years Adobe will run a promotion where I can save some money but retain all my apps / credits etc (I usually find out about it from one of you clowns here on QBN, I'd gleefully honk your big red noses if I could)...
However... currently I'd rip my hair out if I could... but I don't have any.
I contacted sales and had them set me up w/the promo pricing about 4-5 months back and it looked like I was good-to-go.
I found out the hard way that their online sales staff (via chat) are fucking useless as all of my already-paid-for stock credits vanished.
The first time I went to grab a stock image I see ALL my stored up credits from YEARS of payments were gone. Mind you - I hit their ceiling in terms of how many credits you can have (which is fucked up in itself as they cap you but continue charging you each month to retain those credits).
I should have 120 image credits... I paid for them... just because I take advantage of a promo doesn't mean what is already paid for should be wiped out - yes??
I've been battling 2+ months now to get my credit restored.
In my mind all I did was 'refinance my loan'... If a person pays 2 years of car payments that money paid towards their loan doesn't just disappear and they start over at the top...

I finally got a very tough project approved this morning. All of a sudden my computer crashes and I can't open my after effects file. Auto save is set to every 15 minutes but my newest file is from last night. I have to recreate a day of work, aside from imported PSDs other linked files.

I got that Overlord plugin you suggested. This thing is a winner. I did a side by side on my logo which had a lot of Illustrator shenanigans.
What worked: gradients on strokes, which is amazing since getting any gradient to work in AE from Illustrator is pure luck.What didn't work:
Stroke width profiles made with the Stroke width tool in Illustrator. That's not even a feature in After Effects.
A blend object that had two diagonal lines with strokes.There may even be solutions for those issues. I didn't go through all their documentation yet.
Not bad for $45.

There're so many stupid wee inconsistent glitches in Illy that aren't fundamentally-problemmatic and can be worked around, but that invoke too many befuddlement cycles.
I've just taken an object and shift-X'd it to swap the fill for a stroke, which typically defaults to a 1pt outline and.. nope, for some reason it's defaulting to 0pt, but with a clearly visible line all the same. As always, I question myself, so repeat a few times to convince myself that it's it, not me. It's it.
Copy same object to another open window and repeat the process and yep, does what it's supposed to, defaulting to a 1pt stroke. It's most definitely it.
WHY.

Can we talk about Photoshop's 3D?
If materials come in at all, they're don't necessarily display properly. Forget about setting up a camera. obj files don't come with those. Trying to rebuild materials in Photoshop is pretty limited. Scaling objects seems to work once and then breaks altogether. I'm surprised they haven't removed this feature entirely considering what a dismal failure it is.

I've just drawn a box, with a fill... but having previously adjusted a stroke colour, and thusly had the focus of the 'Fill / Stroke' colour thingy set to stroke, even though my rectangle has a fill colour and NO STROKE... I go to colour palette to quickly adjust the fill colour of the said rectangle...

Adobe with their 'Illustrator' want to add another grey hair to my head, and possible induce a stroke... as it's kept the focus of the 'Fill / Stroke' thing to 'Stroke' even those there is no stroke on the rectangle, I now have a stroke on my rectangle in the colour I want the fill..
Yes.. yes I know, press X and quickly switch focus. But why add a UI/|UX step?
If I want a stroke I'd add one, probably via the stroke panel where I can set the thickness.The colour palette... no... that's not where I'd add a stroke, I'd prefer to adjust the fill colour.
It'd take, what? Two lines of simple code at the most to get illustrator to switch automatically focus, without requiring the user to press 'X' a million times.
Of course this all manifests itself the opposite way around when working with a stroke only object and not realising the focus of the 'Fill/Stroke' colour thing is on Fill.
This drives me all insane. I can't stand it. I want to learn c++, hack the source code and add in the line myself.

I avoid updates to software that is working well, but I needed to install something from creative cloud recently, so now I've got to go update the CC desktop app, which is enormous for some reason... I mean, it's a list of programmes...why is it 1GB?
So, unbeknownst to me, it goes behind the scenes and updates my camera raw without asking, completely changing the UI and removing support for working with 32bit images, which I don't do all the time, but when I do, I want my tools to work!
Now I want to see if I can revert to the old version, so I can do what I wanted to do in the first place, and even though I updated not long ago, I have to download ANOTHER 1 GB of creative cloud desktop updates just to open the app.
