Comedian Jon Stewart says Apple asked him not to interview FTC Chair Lina Khan

I really, really, don't see the point/need for a watch like this. It's like Facebook splitting its messenger off into a second app – why do I want two things to do something one already does?
- I feel the same, based on all the internet assumptions and other "smart watches' that existmonospaced
- here's to hoping Apple does something a little more unique, more user-friendly, more usefulmonospaced

it's gorgeous, but is that USB-C port just a connector?

^ How can people say stuff like that?
Mercedes only need 3 models of car?
Pantone should only have 256 colours?
McDonalds should only sell A burger? We consume modern tech like little crack babies. Why not?
Did we need an ipad mini or a 27" iMac?- http://media-cache-e…set

- Having a limited amount of products creates exclusivity.iCanHazQBN
- Look at DELL. They have a TON of computers. I can't even name ONE of them.iCanHazQBN
- While any DELL user can name the iMac, Macbook Pro, and Macbook Air.iCanHazQBN

Nearly all watches for sale today are hideously ugly. But there are a few stylish ones that look great.
I wear a wrist watch when I go out. It adds a bit of style, but the best part is you can check the time without looking at your phone. I feel like looking at your phone in a social setting is becoming more of a 'faux pas'. I know a few people who find it so rude when people are looking at their phones. So, I try to avoid it at parties, etc. I've noticed most of my friends and many strangers doing the same. Far fewer people looking at their phones at parties and events than there were a couple years ago.
That said, I think tech watches run the danger of being a distraction, and probably very ugly. Then again, when was the last time Apple released a device that was ugly?

Yup, sure is a strange move. Solidifies their move to become a fashion brand (or try to, Beats seems like the worst possible choice, imho, and downgrade's Apple's quality image....unless you are 12).
Looks like we'll see a camera next, along with the TV....here comes the next Sony! And we see where they are...

So true if they branch out into a TV etc and spread themselves thinanimatedgif

I find all this very enjoyable. Please carry on.
This is productive. Competition and bitching are great qualities of capitalism and I, for one, look forward to the ongoing war.
My turn...I hate that my 4S is full of photos, middle of a boating ride it fills up. No way to do anything but delete photos. I also have a S5 that I can add storage to, drag and drop anything (amazing concept there! No locking users into some ridiculous software or format), just wonderfully simple, like most computers...too bad it feels like a piece of cheap plastic.
I just want the best product out there, doesn't matter who makes it really. The sapphire rumors had me intrigued, but now it looks like those are just rumors. Now the M8 with Windows looks intriguing (iOS7, while light years ahead of iOS6, it still feels old), maybe even wait to see how Android L looks.Really, though, all of them are looking pretty good. Even Samsung is responding to my criticism of their plastic!

Over 18 Billion Dollar Profit. This is massive. How much would it be if Apple would pay legit taxes?
- Just like Google.inteliboy
- Or any other shithole of bigass companymekk
- if they paid normal non-loophole taxes - most of America wouldn't have to.fadein11
- name one large company, mekk, that pays legit taxesmonospaced
- it's the most massive profit any company has ever pulled in in a single quarter, evermonospaced
- mono, oh I see now, others do it too. Then it's okay.mekk
- no, just saying that singling Apple out is absolutely ridiculous, especially when they do so much IN THE USAmonospaced
- people single Apple out just like they single McDonalds out.inteliboy
- but all these companies do fucked things. though Subway is healthy! and Google are fun and never evil!inteliboy

So is this MacBook at the point where it's powerful enough for what most people buy a Macbook Pro for? Only thing is, there are a lot of devices that still need to connect directly to a port to work - like music interfaces, for example.
- Yeah, I'm confused where this fits exactly.section_014
- Not to mention the smaller screen size.mg33
- It fits for a lot of people who are more casual users.monospaced

Interesting how that 3D touch peek feature completely standardizes the look of common buttons/actions (when accessed through that feature). I mean, of course they would do that, but it really gets into the design of the app itself, looking at data on how much people use that stuff.
I mean, once you're in the app, you're really not using the peek feature anymore, but using the app's buttons.
