"The skull pushes back the clock on modern human migration through the region by as much as 20,000 years and indicates that ancient humans out of Africa left the coast and inhabited diverse habitats much earlier than previously appreciated."

I want someone to propose a new theory and push it.
Have those religious people fight that!

When I got my genome sequenced by the people at (not spam:) 23andme.com it turns out I have 2.8% Neanderthal DNA, compared to an average 2.3%.
If you've got $200 knocking about and are curious, then 23andme is awesome, it'll give you possible drugs to avoid/susceptibility to certain diseases you might have, genetic abberations you might be carrying. Awesome. I non-spammily recommend checking it out.

"The proportion of Americans who are severely obese -- those people 100 pounds or more overweight -- continues to increase rapidly and much faster than those with moderate obesity, but the rate of growth has slowed, according to a new RAND Corporation study. "

did I mention dinosaurs also had dinosaur schools and universities and dinosaur public transportation,
everything was fine until the mars dinosaurs colony started to build the dino bomb,
the dinosaur defense system detected it, but it was too late,
T-rex couldn't boot it fast enough, because of his small arms, all he could be heard yelling was:
"Open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur"

Here's a thought based on some of the facts stated above by GeorgesII. "Humanz" have only been around for a few hundred thousands years at most. Based on current trends, we'd be lucky to survive another thousand.
Now if our civilization ends up being a tiny blip in the geological record, what's to say there weren't other civilizations in the past that we just don't have any record of because they lasted < million years?
- We will be a blip and nobody except some future 4 arms archeologist will care about usGeorgesII
- Interesting thought, but archaeological records haven't turned up anything that interesting.monospaced
- Our current civilizations will leave a stain that will take another few million years to get outmonospaced
