the explanation for Juliette's 'angry girlfriend' actions were defined by that one flashback to her parent's divorce?!... a woman who has seen the things she's seen, is a doctor... blah blah blah... flips out like that?

Haven't watched it yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing harlequino's Jack=Jacob theory put to the test.
- uh, yeah, about that....harlequino
- haha!
... i'd like to hear harl's theory on the up-coming final episode of this season's 24. :)PonyBoy - Not a 24 watcher, unfortunately. But I'll guess that Jack is really the older version of his Lost Boys character. :Dharlequino
- too bad he didn't kill off the two corey's in that filmPonyBoy
- The Coreys would be great as guest terrorist characters.harlequino

Ok. I gotta say this.
When the DI started shooting at Jack and Sayiid. Was it just me, or was it FUCKIN GANGSTER when Jack just bucks back and straight walked up on those pricks, blastin' his handgun without a care in the world for getting shot.
I cheered out loud.
- i cheered... SHOOT HIM!! SHOOT JACK!PonyBoy
- hahah I was thinking the same thing. Jack was blasting like he was in one of those hong kong action flicks. dopelandock
- to clarify... i was cheering that THEY SHOOT JACK... end that bumbling fool once and for all.PonyBoy

Is it just me, or is the idea that all the characters in the show so far have just been pawns in a pissing match between two entities representing good and evil just lame. That's a hell of a lot of character development for people who have no choice in the matter in the long run. I hope there's more to it than that, but it seems like they're trying to oversimplify what was a pretty great, elaborate plot.
Not saying it wasn't entertaining, but tying it up through mythology like that seems too easy.
- I think one of the most integral themes is free will vs. predetermined fate.harlequino
- that's what I thought, but some of the things that happened implied free will was out the windowRodimus79

I think JJ Abrams is just telling a classic tale of good vs evil. The guy is the master of story telling. I think these two people most religions are based on. ie. Jacob = God and the main characters are his modern day 12 apostles. I think faraday is Jacobs child making him jesus. Check out this photo.
depicts the last supper and faraday is in the center with 6 apostles on each side. Lost is based on the Bible.- how did simon cowell get in there.Jnr_Madison
- that's kate, dudePonyBoy
- I was noticing last night how biblical / faith based the plot - Locke as the serpent in Ben's ear, etc...
blackfrancis - he's talking about Jack, loljuhls

more on my feelings on Kate / Sawyer / Yack and Mrs. Lafluer...
... I'd care if their stories were more like the Sun / Jin love story... they built it up over time to show that there is likely to be distrust, dishonesty etc... but revealed they were far more in love w/each other... We learned about both of their relationships w/Sun's father - so it was right that Jacob be at their wedding - and not meet them as children... that story is far more 'real'... I really want Sun and Jin to get back to each other...
... or...like I keep whining about - just fucking kill jack dead... and not partially dead... but 'season 1 'sexy twin' dead'.
- Agree...couldn't give two shits about the Jack/ Sayer/ Kate/ etc love triangleukit

- Hey, Jacob is that guy who plays random characters on various shows.
- The statue!!
- Sawyer gave Kate "the look". He is so damn obvious, and Juliet always notices.
- The Driveshaft ring! I totally forgot that it was a kind of unfinished item.
- Meh, I'm OK with Juliet changing her mind so suddenly. The writers have implemented the same type of love and relationship themes since the beginning, and it's actually understandable for her to react that way. It definitely is a bitch move, but she's one of my favourite characters, and you could tell that moment was building up for a while now. They made it a point to make YOU notice that Juliet was noticing how Sawyer was pining for Kate again ever since she came back. Juliet is one of the calmest characters, but you knew it was going to come to some kind of confrontation between Sawyer and Juliet. She was digging in him for the past few episodes.
Juliet has basically made a living for herself and Sawyer on the island (trying multiple times to leave with a sub but eventually staying because Sawyer convinced her to), and when she knew he loved Kate more, everything was pretty much taken away from her. She doesn't have a reason to go home, does she? How long has it been since they talked about her sister or anything else of relevance?
So what's the point in having that relationship over again? (which you could argue would've happened if they went the Sawyer route of not blowing anything up). It's very similar to Jack's reason, except he always comes off as whiny. Anyway, just playing a bit of devil's advocate.
I, for one, liked that it was her who may have set off that bomb.
And the connection between the very first scene and the last scene with Jacob vs. Locke (?) is very interesting indeed.

I do agree that it seemed slightly out-of-character for her to change her mind so suddenly, but everything must have come to a head at that point. Realizing that Sawyer is the only real thing she had left.
- Like the creators said in the special, "Juliet realizes that it's the beginning of the end for them" as soon as Kate, Jack etc. come back.juhls
- come back to the island. She just doesn't commit to that belief until she sees Sawyer and Kate together.juhls
- It was hilarious, watching her facial expressions right before and right after Kate was handcuffed in the sub. You couldjuhls
- see exactly how she felt and how everything was about to change.juhls

^ lol
Jack was very annoying in the last episode, but redeemed himself a bit throughout that gun fight.
