By the way, I know what I posted on the previous page is basically "girl logic". But that's just how the writers decided to write it. Sawyer would've stayed with Juliet and would have made decisions with her because he is honourable, but it matters more that he likes Kate just a tad more (so, emotionally, he would be tethered to Kate as well as Juliet, and I'm not sure any female would enjoy that).

Some things I noticed:
- fade to white at the end instead of black: signifying change or reversal?
- I think Jacob has to touch each person in order for something to happen (like getting to the island). He touched Sayid after his wife was hit by the car, and weirdly touched Jack while handing the candybar over to him.

Let me just say, I couldn't give two shits whether Sawyer stays with Juliet, has a baby with Kate, or has a gay orgy with Hurley, Jack the smoke monster and the giant statue. It mystifies me that anyone could possibly care, but I realize I am in the minority on this so I'll shut up now.

That theory in the Lostpedia link is pretty good. The finale rocked. i was glued to it the whole time (well, ok, the whole Jack/Kate talk at the end dragged a bit and i wanted to fast forward, but otherwise)
So the things that i liked that stuck out:
- Vincent, Bernard and Rose: that was just great. The way they treated Sawyer/Kate/Juliet like visiting relatives that always fuck up the place was hilarious. Bernard's offer to Juliet for tea was interesting. As if he knew something. Can almost guarantee that comes up in some way again
- Juliet changes her mind: i think this is the one time i laughed out loud (man i wish there were an abbreviation for that phrase). How stereotypically female it is to have the guy go thru all this shit, hijack a sub, walk five miles, stop a van, beat the crap out of a guy and then say "Ya know, i think i want it the other way instead". Its the moving furniture and hanging paintings paradigm times 50.
- Filthy Phil gets it: So incredibly satisfying to see a character you despise die in such a violent wayi was kinda dismayed to find out that the Locke i've been enjoying since he returned to the island isn't really Locke and that he's just a puppet. But, as i read in an article on darkufo, i don't think you can count Locke out quite yet; that there's a bit of Locke still left in that spirit.
It could go a number of ways from here. i don't think they'll be blown back to before the crash because that would kinda invalidate the 2007 timeline with the shadow-statue people and Jacob's nemesis. So maybe they go back to 2007 and help defeat the nemesis. How do they do this? By joining Bram in being the "Good Guys". The conflict between Jacob and Nemesis that they intro'd with was that man is inherintly destructive and nothing will change that. Jacob's point (that this is not true) will only be proven when the people on the island work for good rather than for themselves or some malevolent purpose.
But, in short, i have no idea what's in store for the last season. They've got a lot of lose ends i'd like to see tied up (Blackrock specifics, Richard's story, Claire/Aaron, Desmond, etc) and only 17 or so episodes to do it in.
- Totally agree about the tea thing and the "relatives that always fuck up the place" LOLjuhls
- With the tea scene, Juliet paused for just enough time that it was a bit uncomfortable and weird for the viewer as well.juhls
- I do find it interesting that all the men here believe that actions matter over emotions. I'm not even an emotional person, and Ijuhls
- know a guy would be equally upset about what Sawyer kept doing when Kate was around (not that Juliet wasn't wrong as well).juhls
- well) in her weird action at that moment.juhls
- (not necessarily directed at you; probably should've been a separate post :) )juhls
- Nevermind, my notes are weirdly cut off depending on the computer I use, arrrgghhjuhls

Jacob = Arimanius of Darkness
Jacob's brother = Oromasdes of Light

- could work, the writers do like a bit of mythology :-)Not_Just_Another

errr... WTF? Atleast we've only got one more series to go through :-)

Jacob was encouraging weird and "bad" activities amongst the younger Losties in the flashbacks, and he creeps me out. But he is calm and composed, and perhaps, knowing exactly how things will turn out, knew he had to make sure those events happened to the younger kids. But we all know that his nemesis is very destructive, as fake-Locke / Esau primarily thinks about deceiving and killing.
Ben, who always led with faith, loses his and kills Jacob.

So, do we reckon Jacob is actually dead? or will he pull himself out of the fire at the start of series 6?It's so bloody confusing. Do we know who that woman and the 'good guys' are? and where did they come from?

Granted, I do want answers, but I don't understand why some people out there spend hours upon hours theorizing what they think is the answer to it all. Just fuckin chill and wait.
- Because it's fun. Just fuckin chill and let us have funlocustsloth

One thing I'm wondering...why the need to convince Ben to stab? Couldn't the anti-Jacob have just pulled his same shape shifting trickery on the first people to land on the island and convinced them to do the stabbing rather than orchestrating such an elaborate sequence of events to get Ben and Locke inside the statue? Maybe murdering Jacob is just to get the ball rolling though and the actual "loop hole" is something yet to be seen...it could even be the result of detonating the bomb.
