just a select few from the NYC trip.
we had an amazing time, and even though its very similar to London, the people are far more friendly.
the rain mucked our daily plans up on the first day, so the wife got a bit flustered and annoyed as she likes to go by lists etc.
standing for 5 hours in the rain just to watch a tree's light get switched on was the only low point for me!
- how much $$ for the chopper ride?Ramanisky2
- $180 each i think, for 15 minutes.cruddlebub
- when does the 15mins start? because preflight takes 10 minsfuturefood
- dyamnnpinkfloyd
- 15mins in the air...cruddlebub
- Impossible to stick to to-do lists when in NY. You always either spend too long at things or get distracted by other things along the way.microkorg
- Best thing to do is just enjoy the things you REALLY want to see. Then for everything else ... just go back there again ;) (and again)microkorg
- Great pics, are these from your honeymoon trip? What lens did you use for the sunset over Manhattan shots?utopian
- @microkorg: yeah, by the friday we realized we should of just done everything on the fly. we needed at least 2 weeks and $100,000cruddlebub
- @utopian: yeah these are from our honeymoon trip... i used the 16mm f1.4 for all these shots.cruddlebub
- reminds me of my heli flight there, 2 weeks prior to 9/11.SimonFFM

- Yep, it's called the "EL" for elevated. We do have underground sections of subway too, mostly downtown.mg33
- ah yes the "EL"! I've yet to visit... maybe should move to top of bucket list.bklyndroobeki
- Don't know why I find the first one so heart pulling. Maybe it feels like that man should be retired + the b/wbklyndroobeki

- I can't tell if its a little off centre or I'm drunkset
- if you can't tell if you're drunk, have anotherjaylarson
- It is cropped a bit off center, just a tad. Shot it about a mile away with a 50mm 1.2 the original had a good 15% of uninteresting "outside of downtown" room.freakpelican
- I didn't really mean off centre I meant that the horizon is at a slight angle. I was drunk but I was right, I think...set
