    • 1 love them, 2 - think your sensor requires a clean looking at that first one towards the leftkalkal
    • Ah you can't remove the lens on that camera lol.kalkal
    • yeah its a fixed 28mm, you really have to work hard at framing your shots as everything can be in the frame. But its made me a better photographer.Leigh
    • i also like the limitations of a fixed lens, it stops me from buying more lenses :) and forces be to work the best with what i've got.Leigh
    • @kalkal yeah theres dust on the sensor after 4 years of use, i need to send it into Leica. It's a common issue with the 1st version, they'll block up the vents.Leigh

Took these Saturday night in northwestern rural Illinois where my wife has family that live out in farm country surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Only had a tiny sliver of a crescent moon around 10:45pm when I took these. Forgot the camera mount for my tripod, but fortunately my brother-in-law, an avid target shooter, had some solid wood and steel targets at the edge of his property that worked for an improvised tripod. It was so quiet and still while taking these and just looking at the millions of stars in the sky - something I RARELY get to do living so close to Chicago.

    • Somehow she knew that was the Milky Way (or heard me say it) and was a little too cold to stay out for long.mg33
