- The little 3robotron3k
- yes, I think the numbers are too bigmonospaced
- just my opinion ... I prefer to give the watch hands the hierarchy visually over the numbers themselvesmonospaced
- A favorite watch of the rare Albino Gorillarobotron3k
- I like the big numbers. It actually bugs me when the numbers are too small. I think it's a handsome watch, but I would prefer numbers for 6 and 9 as well.nocomply
- I'm the opposite. I don't even require numbers, like most people, as the hands dictate the time and you already know what the numbers are.monospaced
- Funnily, if I were to have any numbers, it would have to be the cardinal points: 12, 3, 6 and 9. The others seem overkill to me.monospaced
- I have this one, but with metal strap. Wear it daily since 2009 and stil like it.Longcopylover
- Does it feel flashy or is it under the radar?pinkfloyd
- Not flashy at all I think. It's balanced in size and colour and fits every outfit from casual to business. Most people don't recognize the brand at first sight.Longcopylover

A mate's inherited a 1970's Longines watch, it was pretty expensive at the ... time. Anyone know of a site that might help find out what it's worth nowadays?
- Search the model on ebay and see what they sell forpinkfloyd
- Deep. Why did I not think of this?MrT
- Derp, even.MrT
- Chrono24.com is good for this.Longcopylover
- shapesalad0
- how easy it to clean up this sort of watch?shapesalad
- because I'm tempted to pick up this off eBay, cheap, unique.shapesalad
- really easy for a horologistimbecile
- I like thisMrT

- Yay if you don't mind no date function.mandomafioso
- I don't mind that as much. The snowflake hands bug me a bit, and I would prefer a blue bezelpinkfloyd

- upon further review, nay for mepinkfloyd
- can't go wrong with the black bay... i personally prefer the clunkiness of the pelagos.showpony

- First world problem thread?
But, yay.nbq - no to the rubber strap. no overall looks clunky.shapesalad
- I've wanted that exact watch for years. I've got the "poor man's" Casio version, which honestly is still pretty darn good: https://images-na.ss…...nocomply
- Whoops! https://images-na.ss…nocomply

You can't go wrong with a $15.00 Timex, hell, it's so cheap, why not buy 4 different ones...
- Derp I mean Casio... I had Timex on the brain.robotron3k
- Completes any neckbeard outfit.ben_
- trooperbill0
im going through a cheap vintage watch phase too - picking up timex, citizen, orient, oris, rado all for under 100 working but scratched to hell. hoping polywatch and some tlc (but no polishing) will bring up the appearances.
any idea how to remove and reattach the crown so i can clean the faces?
- I've used toothpaste to get a scratch out of a watch face. No idea about crown:shapesalad

- Saw that this morning. So nice. I don't get the left seconds subdial though. Why the double hand?mandomafioso
- Go on then.MrT
- mandomafioso1
The videos on this channel are excellent. I haven't watched this one but assume it's good. Nomos are high on my list of wants...
- Yeah, gives an idea of what you get for the price you pay for an automatic watch. Fascinating.mandomafioso
- I have a Nomos. It's a wonderful little watch. Got into them when they started making their own movements.cannonball1978

- Beautifulmonospaced
- Really is, and really $$$MrT
- Doesn't need line for every minute, and perhaps only needs lines for every 10 minute. Looks like any other 'mens' watch. Strap looks a bit too thick.shapesalad
- I appreciate that the minute lines and numbers, while not required, are at least refined and very small compared to other watches.monospaced
- $11,000+
Damnmonospaced - lol shape after after that fugly FES thing you posted below.MrT
- Meh. I can think of a ton of companies that have real pedigree (hold's value) and is more attractive. Just me, clearly.formed
- I could see it selling for $500, maybe, but otherwise what are you paying for beyond a name? IWC, Rolex, Omega, Breitling all have a lfietime of historyformed
- sure, but are any of those brands are free of paying for the name to some extent?MrT
- But you are paying for a watch maker's history, the pedigree. I wouldn't buy a Ferrari watch, either. $500 would be a lot for the Leica name, 13k is sillyformed
- it is that. it's pretty but I want wheels and an engine for that kind of money.MrT
- pinkfloyd1
^paid $105, sold it today for $400
- pinkfloyd0
- Looks like 100s of other identical men's watches.shapesalad
- ^ which is ok if that's your style, to be like the heard.shapesalad
- does it look like a fake rolex?pinkfloyd
- i'm ok with the other part, I just don't want to look like i'm sporting a fake rolexpinkfloyd
- yep, looks too similar to Rolexshapesalad
- gtfo of my postpinkfloyd
- I used to not even like the Rolex version, but after seeing in person I do like them for something super conservative...but I'd stick with the Rolex.formed
- Everyone will look, then see it's not a Rolex.formed
- Did you get the Omega? That (the O) is so much nicer than this or the Rolex, imho.formed
- I got rid of the Rolex because it felt a bit flashy. Didn't get the omega atm.pinkfloyd
- What will people think!!!?????set
- Don't look for self worth from the eyes of other people. Just wear the fucking watch that you like.set
- I'd vote no. For that price point, I'd go with a Seiko diver. I *think* this uses a Seiko movement anyway, so I'd just go to the source.showpony

- You better be taking a picture with this thing on. I assume you can only "read" the time during the day.Maaku

- pinkfloyd4
- why doesn't that guy want it?Fax_Benson
- That's a lovely choice. I am liking Omega's more and more these days. What's the price?formed
- Going for that orange-ish dial? Looks kinda cool.formed
- This one goes for $5,695 at jomashop nowpinkfloyd
- lol @ faxpinkfloyd
- Different watch, right? One looks like orange dials, the other white....formed
- Not sure, the omega hands are tricky where the colors are more noticeable by lighting.pinkfloyd
- it's a different watchmonospaced
- did google help you?pinkfloyd
- They've got a bunch of versions, kinda like Rolex.formed
- no, just looking at the shape of the hands and the color and the numbers on the dialsmonospaced

- I have an Omega Speedmaster "Sapphire sandwich". Excellent watch. Feels like I'm wearing a sports car on my wrist.cannonball1978
