Common sense:
Key foods you should eat if you want to burn fat: Pasta, Wholegrain, brown bread, Porridge, Any fresh fruit and veg. Oat cakes, peanut butter, Marmite, Marmalade, Humous, Salad, Soya Milk, Beef, Chicken, Jacket Potato, Tuna, Salami, Eggs, Lots of water on a regular basis. Green Tea.Never skip a meal, the more you eat the faster your metabolism. Just make sure its the right food.
If you get cravings for sugary foods it means you didn't eat enough during the day,

The Atkins diet is possibly the worst thing you can do to yourself. There are so many cases now of people with heart disease because of all the saturated fats they've ingested on this fad diet.
I guess if you feel the trade off going from fat to skinny and suffering a heart attack later is worth it, then Atkins is for you.
- agreed. not only bad for you -- but bad for the entire global food economybliznutty

Skinny Bitch in the Kitch” helpfully condenses the entire content of the first book down to three pages (meat is murder; carbohydrates do not make you fat; always read the ingredients and don’t eat anything you can’t pronounce). The first book barely mentioned cooking, suggesting an eating style based on fruit, snacks and frozen food from the health-food store. It was a vegan version of the fast-food diet the authors say they used to follow equally zealously.“I know I ate at Burger King every single day of 1992,” Ms. Freedman said. “For years, if it didn’t come from a drive-through or a can, I wasn’t interested.”

when I'm looking to dump fat, I avoid any processed foods and construct my meals entirely. and when I say processed, I mean anything that isn't a basic food. This way it's easier to understand exactly what you're eating, no guessin because it's just a single ingredient food, a.k.a. eggs, chicken, potatoes, plain oatmeal, etc. Never bread, pasta or soups and such. There are too many elements in packaged shit like that. I'm not saying it's bad, but I'd rather not go down an ingredient list if I'm truly looking to loose weight.
On the other hand, when I could care less, bring on the pizza, beer and sammi'chz

I'll just eat less. Only problem is I'll have to count calories.

atkins and similar non-carbo diets do work in comparison to other diets, proven fact

I lost close to 40lbs by just running 4 miles 3x a week, strength training 3x a week, and by vastly limiting the amount of soda, junk food, and fast food I consume. I ate anything I wanted, so long as it didn't come from a drive thru and wasn't mostly sugar. A little effort is all it takes to see a difference, but the exercise is the key!
