Ok, you guys are the f'n best. Thanks a ton for the discussion, too, because i've asked so many people and keep getting different responses. Here's what i have:
1. DIRECCIÓN DE DOMICILIO (SI ES DIFERENTE)
(because I have a DOMICILIO field above this one)2. TIEMPO COMO PROPIETARIO
(This means "time of ownership" instead of "duration...". Is that okay, translation-wise?)3. RETENCIÓN DIARIA SOLICITADA (PORCENTAJE DE RECIBOS DE TARJETA DE CRÉDITO)
(someone else had it as RECIBO, without the "S", but i assume theirs was singular and it should be plural.)Length of ownership should mean, "How long have you owned this business?" Is everything correct above?
Thanks again for all your help, guys. You're the greatest.

Spanish speakers? Spanish speakers are a bit like Pakistani monster-truck drivers: yet to prove themselves in the bigger swim of things. Honestly, I'm not aware of any Spanish speakers that are all that great. Too much presence in the high-mids, and they're notorious for "farty" lows.
Stick with the known brands, like Celestion, EV, and JBL, and you'll get better quality and durability.

you could bump this thread monday morning GMT and get some real help from OBBTKN. There may be standard words for what you're looking. Esp. the credit card thing doesn't look too natural. I bet they have some easier way for that stuff.

(Aug 4 07, 14:20)That all sounds about right.
But regarding the 1st one....I don't get that. If you are using the word "DOMICILIO", you don't need to use "DIRECCION DE DOMICILIO" below it. that'd be like asking on one field for a phone # and on a second field repeat the question but using instead of the word phone, "that small box with tiny buttons ranging from 0 to 9 used to communicate with other people not present.
Anyway, if you are asking for a HOME ADDRESS (DOMICILIO), you shouldn't be using DIRECCION DE DOMICILIO, coz it's the exact same thing. Perhaps you are refering to a MAILING ADDRESS. If you are asking for a MAILING ADDRESS, this should say something like DIRECCION POSTAL.

(Aug 3 07, 22:09)btw
nachas is a cute/innocent way of saying asscheeks. it's kind of slang. So there you pretty much said...Goog Asscheeks!!
nachas = rear, asscheeks :o)
nachos = nasty combination of crap invented by gringos that unfortunately make people think it is actually mexican food. An insult to my country :o(
noches - night, nights:o)

(Aug 4 07, 18:24)I think this was confusing.
I'd use:
Domicilio: [home address]
Direccion Postal: (if this is different from the first address [mailing address]
------------
Direccion: [address] (this could also be used instead of "DOMICILIO", as domicilio refers to a home address only, and the word "direccion" refers to any kind of address whether it's a business address or a home address.

I've changed the "address" line to DIRECCION, and the "mailing address (if different)" to DIRECCION POSTAL.
Thanks guys! Do you still think the Credit Card line is f'd?
- carina0
1. Dirección particular(personal ): usually refers to home address
Dirección postal: mailing address
Direccíon laboral: work address
Dirección comercial: bussiness address (if you own a bussiness)
Dirección de email: email address
correo electrónico: email address2. Tiempo como propietario: time of ownership
I guess you are asking this regarding a bussiness, a property, etc.3. Retención diaria solicitada: Daily retention asked.
(porcentaje de recibos de tarjetas de crédito):
And I don't really understand when you say "credit card receipt percentage".
May be if i knew the context.
Good luck,
buena suerte!

just go with your instinct.
we all speak Spanish differently. It varies from country to country. We'll never agree on one term.
