But it was just loose in my pocket, one of the last-gen 20GB's before the photos came out. It was skipping or pausing itself when I was running a bit harder.
Anyone ever had that happen?
Thinking of getting one of the new shuffles though, a little lighter than the full blown ipod.

(Jan 3 07, 08:12)i wouldn't run with any of the ipods with a drive in it. my roommate did and it died quickly. same experience as you, lots of skipping and pausing, then quit completely on his third run.

I tried to make a conscious effort to take a break from computers during my vacation, and I just got back into Pittsburgh last nite after almost 2 weeks, heh.
... It was awful.

There are a ton of different beliefs about nutrition and such for weight loss, muscle gain, etc. All depends on what you need. I think a common theme is lower carbs. And the carbs you take should be of a good variety, complex and not simple (White bread, white rice, sugar, etc.) The key is not to spike your insulin level. Find a diet you can live with and like. If you're suffering and hate the food you more then likely will not stick with it.
I went shopping last night and got some pretty good stuff.
Dinner: Boiled chicken breast, Cut that up put it in a romaine lettuce leaf, with some crumbled cheese, banana peppers, hot sauce (i read that actually helps and adds flavor), some greek Vinaigrette dressing, and pepper. It was really tasty.
Breakfast: Wheat English muffin with peanut butter and some cut up fruit. Again, really pretty good.
Losing weight does not mean you don't eat tasty stuff. Just need to eat the right stuff.
Buy a mens health for a ton of tips and its a pretty good mag.

I'll eat that maybe 2x a week for something different. It's a nice healthy change of pace from the eggs and such. Good call.

i wouldn't get the shuffle. the 2 gig nano is only $60 more. It has a screen and you could try out the nike+ thingy. I got my wife the whole set up and she loves it.
P.S. I need to lose 20-25 lbs.

Yeah osfa. I've just never worked with Wordpress before and really don't know what I'm doing with the thing. I'm hoping to get at least a few things up and running before the 7th when my wife and I start our vacation and we'll be out of town.

rafalski, that diet thing I tried with not mixing my carbs and proteins together has worked well for me. I recommend you try it just for 2 weeks and maybe you'll see a big difference; but like I said near the end of that post, I was feeling really sluggish and bloated after eating even certain small to medium size meals (yes, even "healthy" ones) and I tried this and it damn near eliminated that awful digestive track feeling and actually helps me to maintain my energy levels a little better.
In the end, to each their own. Even if you have the same destination as everyone else, chance are we'll all take a different route and we'll all have a slightly different reason for being there.
Give it a shot... it definitely won't hurt. If you see no difference, try something else.
