(Jan 3 07, 05:11)haha. That was my wife talking about me Dick Tracy.
Anyways, version4 has been kind enough to offer his support and go out of his way to produce a blog/forum for this. With some guidance from my wife and I he was kind enough to set it up last night.
We now have a blog to track each other, get tips, hints and nutrition info.
There is nothing in it now but I'm hoping by the end of the week to have some stuff posted.
Thanks again to version4!

Kona, thanks for what you've been doing, it already is a terrific project.
I have a diet question: Point5 suggested not mixing carbs with proteins, while your meal suggestions seem not to follow that rule (tuna+rice, egg+bread).
What's your approach?
- k0na_an0k0
rafalski, I'm not sure cause I didn't read that anywhere above, but he may have been talking about simple carbs. White bread, white pasta, things like that.
Complex carbs are a pretty important part of losing weight believe it or not. Taken in the right amounts can help, not to mention help keep up your energy and stamina.
Brown rice, wheat bread, whole grain bread, wheat pasta. All good.

Yo - came home last night, put on my warm gear, ran for 30 minutes outdoors.
First time to take my ipod along, that makes a HUGE difference.
But it was just loose in my pocket, one of the last-gen 20GB's before the photos came out. It was skipping or pausing itself when I was running a bit harder.
Anyone ever had that happen?
Thinking of getting one of the new shuffles though, a little lighter than the full blown ipod.

All I got from this thread is that kona is his wife's little bitch...
(I'm typing, my wife is talking...)

Pilates.
Sounds you know ... not manly I guess, but I swear by them.
For the ADD person who doesn't want to do the same thing 50-100 times, but will do it 50-100 times if it's broken up into sections - it's perfect.
Heh, this girl I know who works at a gym wants me to be the Pilates instructor ... but I think that may be a little much.
I think I need to gain weight this year, I'd like to pick up running a bit more as well.
But seriously, try Pilates if you want to get fit. Get a few DVD's of it, close the blinds, and put the volume low ... once you memorize them you can then blast your favourite music for an hour and just look up to make sure you are on track.
The main thing about Pilates is executing properly though, otherwise I think you can really mess yourself up.
