    But it was just loose in my pocket, one of the last-gen 20GB's before the photos came out. It was skipping or pausing itself when I was running a bit harder.

    Anyone ever had that happen?

    Thinking of getting one of the new shuffles though, a little lighter than the full blown ipod.

    i wouldn't run with any of the ipods with a drive in it. my roommate did and it died quickly. same experience as you, lots of skipping and pausing, then quit completely on his third run.
