In my opinion the NDP did really well in BC.

plus anyway the Canadian Harper went on TV in December to say he would heve never supported the war. so it's a moot point.

I am going back in September for a bit more, possibly making Hawaii my home!
My rental car was a maui cruiser, so the locals thought I was local.
Im also a quarter native, so I got pretty tanned, and ended up with a half inch halfway through the trip, which added to the local-look. (Maui)
Locals would make bird calls at me in the supermarkets for the first 2 weeks, until my tan came in strong... then they stopped making fun of me. I didnt really get "cousin" very much!!

sweet. i sport a mohawk too, quite a bit taller though..., but i think the giant camera hanging from my neck and the 'outrigger hotel' beach bag my finace' carried around gave us away as 'tourists'.

I walked around Wikiki beach in my boarshorts, no sandles, no shirt. Rode around on these little scooter things. Drove the shit outta them!! Had lots of romantic times near the big banyan tree near the center of Wikiki beach.. :)

honestly. canada's no more fucked than the people who think harper is satan.
he represents a mood for positive change in average canadians. If anyone watched the CBC late last night and heard Kim Campbell talk... you'd think democracy in Canada was dying before the election, and part of me thinks she's right.
I don't understand what everyone's problem is with a different opinion than theirs... the recognition that we all have a unique voice and we don't all have to agree is what democracies are built on.
