God, why don't you give him a chance first. and it's a minority government, so he won't be in there for long. You guys are just as bad as the other Liberals I know, who claim that Harper is going to turn Canada into hell!

At least people had some sense to not make the Conservatives a majority. My parents were really afraid that the Liberals were going to be completely wiped out. It was a really close race.
The West and Quebec had the most Conservatives votes, with some coming in from other parts. Alberta didn't have one single Liberal elected.

I think the Liberals need to get a new leader and change some things around before leading the country again. Starting now, even though they have 18 months before they really have to work for our votes again. I thought Paul Martin held a great campaign (b/c he managed to get tons of votes even with all the corruption talk), but the Liberals can get more votes with a new leader.

Jaz, I think they're going to be filming the episodes this year, so that the 2nd season will be ready in 2007 (sucks, I know). I just hope the DVD comes out soon.

All considered we came out of a sticky situation in not bad shape.
Harper has a minority gov, and its a really powerless one at that. The seat numbers don't add up, nothing far right is going to pass through parliament.
See y'all again in about 12-18 months... same bat-place, same bat-channel.

Strange aspect of this result although not directly connected is the fact that of all the western leaders (and their parties) who opposed the Iraq war are getting kicked out of office and the three musketeers, Bush, Howard, and Blair were all comfortably re-elected by their people.
Wasn't it supposed to be the other way round?
