I received 20 picture frames as a gift from a customer. They are 70x100cm, walnut wood frames with real glass. Unfortunately, they don't have backing boards. I would like to mount photos in them, but I don't have any idea how. A backing board in 70x100cm is quite expensive. Do you have any alternative ideas for what I could do?

Upgraded my three point Google Wifi mesh network to the newest one, the Nest Pro Wifi 6e, repositioned one of the new points in my basement, and my speeds in the basement have gone from avg. 50MB/sec to 420MB.
Only got two points this time. My home macs and my work mac are all new enough to have 6e, and the lastest Apple TV 4k is also 6e.
The only thing that is annoying me is that my Synology NAS is plugged into the basement point, but the network connects it to the upstairs main point connected to my modem. You can't manage devices' default points on Google Home but I feel like I'm not seeing any slowness at least.

Job hunt update.
In 3 weeks, about 100 jobs applied for.
Had about 20 knock-backs with most of them being instant or within a day or so which I think many were robots doing keyword/cv checks.
But only now after the 3 weeks starting to see personalised replies coming through from real people.
Got an interview for a remote position tonight with NY company.
And got a call from a fintech company recruiter asking if he can put me forward.
And i've one take-home exercise that I started today for another fintech company close to home.I think take home exercises are a good thing for someone new to the game or junior designers, maybe even middleweight if they need them to prove something. But for someone who's had a 25 year career in senior, CD and Team Lead positions all whilst still being a hands-on designer is a bit of a pisstake. I mean, if I've made it THIS far, then surely I've got the skills.

“Weird.”
I’ve had a love/hate relationship with that word.
Growing up, half my friends called me weird like it was a put-down. The other half wore it like a badge. I had one foot in with the mainstream crowd, the other with the new wavers and skaters — the ones who embraced their weirdom, turned it into art. For some, “weird” meant off. For others, it meant original.
Recently, one of those old mainstreamers threw it at me again. In a group chat, he misread something I said and replied with: “your weird life up north.” I took a breath, steered myself away from a harsh reply. Because here’s the context: at that exact moment, he was drinking alone, babysitting his ex-girlfriend’s dogs, making vile, racist comments about his Indian clients who dared to negotiate his overinflated home improvement prices.
This is a guy who drank himself out of two relationships, can’t go 60 seconds without talking about him or his “awesome kids,” had his wife do his books because he coasted through high school, he's buried in credit card debt and living in the exact part of town we used to laugh at — and sings like a hammered karaoke fail during Zoom calls.
I find that weird.
So when grafician calls palim “weird,” I can’t help but laugh — the same kind of laugh I have when people who lack self-awareness try to sound sharp. Because weird is deeply subjective. Personally, I find palim to be pleasantly avant-garde — like someone you’d meet at an art opening in SoHo, someone who makes you think.
And grafician? I find him weird. The kind of weird that’s strange and hollow. A narcissistic blowhard who hasn’t posted a single piece of professional work on QBN, yet somehow finds the time to post daily rants about America, MAGA, and Donald Trump — like a guy living rent-free in a country he doesn’t even inhabit. He leans on AI for insight, cosplays as a geopolitical analyst, and pretends to know everything about everything.
That’s not bold. That’s not artistic. That’s just fucking strange.
And I've been holding onto something for a long time now...
Several years ago I received two emails from an anonymous person. It said that I was a second-rate marketer in broken English. It was short and the person said "it was only time until I get your phone number". The email was from MrMister.
The broken english, the lack of creative email name, the fact that they had to work to find my information and that they signed off with "someone you pissed off" points my radar at a QBN user.
This I find unacceptable. Whoever did that should be kicked off the platform. And whoever did it should never have the balls to call anyone else weird for the rest of their weird life.

I've developed the weirdest habit of always doing line breaks using shift+enter, because of messaging apps that simply use Enter to send the message, including Skype and Slack. It's driving me crazy. I'm even doing it on stuff like google docs. It's annoying.

The evolution usually goes like this...

Zen Mode: “Creativity isn’t constant. Some projects hit, some don’t — and that’s okay. It’s not about defending every pixel. It’s about the result. The goal. The growth.”
Graf, when you 'stand by your work' like it's untouchable, without recognizing the difference between what’s good and what’s just... there, you’re not showing confidence — you're showing you’re stuck.
Still defending your output like a fragile badge. Still reacting like feedback is an attack, not an opportunity. That’s not Zen. That’s still Infantile Mode with a portfolio.
If you’re really as seasoned as you act, you’d know: standing by mediocre work without self-awareness isn’t bravery. It’s just blindness dressed as pride.
