Not exactly in the christmas spirit but I just told a friend to fuck off and don't bother contacting me again. Feels rather liberating.
The last 4 or 5 times we've arranged to meet, he'd be good to go, sending texts saying he's on his way etc and then just not show up, no text, no phonecall, nothing. Then the next day he'd come up with some sort of excuse. Not the point.
Had enough of cunts like that. Take your shit and fuck off away from me.

One thing I've come to realise and i often preach about it, is how ruthless people should be with their friends. I don't mean being a dick, but generally if someone isn't improving your life then why bother hanging around with them. I love surrounding myself with cheerful positive reliable people.Because I'm worth it... Cosmo magazine tells me so.

Had a power cut on Christmas day from 4pm until 11pm. Luckily we managed to cook and eat dinner before it happened otherwise it would have been a lot worse. I made mulled wine on the gas and so we sat around in the dark getting drunk and eating cold Turkey and spuds. Was kind of fun in the end.

Sister and niece are in town from Chicago, staying for a few more days over the holidays. Turns out my niece (16) is full on hipster now.
She got a record player for Christmas. Instead of the same old holiday music she's going through the record collection, listening to everything from Dillon and Beatles to Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong. Pretty damned cool :D
