It is no fun at all right now but today I was thinking that we're still so lucky and privileged... For many right now is a break from work and like a long weekend at home. We have food, internet, warm houses and unlimited electricity....
It's been 10 years last week that the war in Syria started. These people, the people who are in a war zone for years, they have something to complaint about. Even with that Corona thing, we're still the lucky ones.

In the end the great success of getting through this might be a new approach to making most of what we need in the US, to employ more Americans, to move toward some portion of self-sustainability. Medical supplies, household products, staples of daily life and necessities of all kinds. All the shit we killed jobs for to make overseas for pennies on the dollar.
I’ve been daydreaming for years about what it would take for us to make that kind of a radical shift. To pay slightly higher for certain goods because it was made in America by American employees.
Just imagine that happening. Imagine that as an eventuality to regrow the economy and unite people after the crisis of a lifetime.
- This is a supply-chain wake up call. I hope that happensGnash
- Me too. It’s a supply chain wake up. It’s a blue-collar, respect the hard work wake up call.mg33

- The downside to anti globalization is shifts in power, currency, war. There are certain securities when all are connected********
- Through commerce********
- Point in case I our ability to set up so much helicopter money through our pull and commerce. If we sink others sink. To skim the eco pol aspects********

- This kind of idea that we need to be entirely self-contained and self-sufficient is essentially the North Korean ethos, juche.yuekit
- I don’t think making everything in USA, as much as it might appeal to patriotic instincts, is going to magically result in higher wages or prosperity.yuekit
- Think back to the early 20th century...there was far less globalization and a huge amount of industry in the USA. But conditions for workers were shit, yuekit
- and the Spanish flu and other viruses still got here and killed tens of millions.yuekit
- True capitalism lifts all. As it has done. Exporting labor from us towards poor nations helped them rise. Problems is progressive wage controls********
- But there is a basic reason for wage co trols in a country with a reserve currency. We grow our wealth and limit labor outside and we benefit********
- We use capitalism as much as China uses it. Albeit we are still much better off on freedom than them********
- But also the Chinese culture of people throughout history for like ants. Drones with no big wishes********

Before Virus Outbreak, a Cascade of Warnings Went Unheeded
Government exercises, including one last year, made clear that the U.S. was not ready for a pandemic like the coronavirus. But little was done.

I don‘t usually watch this guy because he‘s a right-wing podcaster but just watch it for the Coronavirus topic.
The guest says millions of dead coming in America and 50% unemployment.

We all know bill gates is behind it. The Hopkins event. The Netflix warning. All the way back to 2009 tedx mosquito release. He has totally gone all Adrien veidt and used his resources to sacrifice some for the greater good. Less pollution, less population, global unity vs recent fall towards nationalism. However if the case ppl forget story's end and don't see what happens. Looks like already China kills green for cheap methods of getting production back. As will rest of world. Expect any climate aspects nullified. Any wealth disparitys worse with influx of money and bailouts, and more nationalism and divide. Let's hope Billy had nothing to do with it because he will be very embarrassed. That is all my fun theories for the night. Be a nice fictional book.

Where is every country's army in this case?
I'd think they have the biggest capacity to setup mobile medical facilities in case of a war.Someone that I know stationed in Seattle said that they are shutting down the military hospital on base and they are freaking out on what to do.
Same with other countries, everybody is worried about medical system getting overwhelmed, but military with their bloated budgets and man power can't do anything?- wait for it...turkey is just a bi late... every european army is assisting public health institutions whereever they can.uan
- Developed countries have legal barriers that prevent the military from being active in its own country. For, you know, reasons.mekk
- National emergencies have to be declared and approved before that can happen.mekk

- only when the disease can spread onto insects and the creatures that eat them. Also if the host dies then the virus dies with it a few days later.mekk
- presumes the virus survives on the surface of insect, or within stomach of insect, subsequently inside stomach of bird etc etc. Non.shapesalad

Uh-oh. Man down?
I let off three powerful sneezes this morning and, about thirty minutes later, I started feeling a bit weak and ever-so-slightly achy all over.
Temperature reads 35.2°, so that's encouraging.
Hoping it's just my allergies playing tricks on me, since we had a week of super-spring and pollen.
We'll see over the course of the day if things get worse or better.
- Temperature 35.2? Dude you're about to have hypothermia. I'd check with a different device. That doesnt seem rightBeeswax
- Second reading is 36.9, I left under my tongue in for longer.Continuity
- Yeesh. Grammar fail.Continuity
- Took my third reading just now, still 36.9° and the achy-ness went away in the meantime. Think I'm good.Continuity
