If you have a fever don't take Ibuprofen or Paracetamols etc. Those reduce fevers. Fevers are your bodies way of raising your body temperature to a point that it reduces a viruses ability to function. If you have a fever and feel cold, put the heating on, put more blankets over you etc.

Anyone else feel like you’re on the verge of a panic attack? Like this is all too surreal and there’s too much uncertainty?
I’ve been pretty positive through about an hour ago, got off my phone, had a long shower and some things just kind of sunk in. Our jobs are stable, we can work from home, we’ve got more than enough to keep ourselves entertained, but we’re taking our 5 year old daughter and 2 1/2 year old son out of daycare (will probably close completely this week following school closures here in Illinois. That will be an adjustment. I’m not complaining though. I have far more empathy for those with jobs that are ending, kids they now have to watch, or kids they can’t watch due to having to be at work. I have no right to complain. We’ll have to adjust, keep them busy, keep them learning.
But something about these unknowns, I don’t know. This is just surreal, scary, and I feel that reality creeping up now. We’re not seeing our good neighbors for a couple weeks and we’re trusting each other’s self-quarantine methods in the hopes that in a couple weeks, we can start being around each other, for our kids to play and take the load off each other when we need to. I’m grateful for that.
There are no cases in my town and we’re fortunate to live in a middle-upper-middle-class town of 47k north of Chicago. People are respectable and I think people will stay calm.
Lastly, and this sounds stupid, but I’ve been doing keto for three weeks and, trying to imagine the chaos of reduced grocery availability if that happens, it just seems absurd to care much about crap like that. It feels selfish; like, we have no idea how long we’re gonna be faced with this, how I look seems like a ridiculous priority right now. Keeping my family safe and healthy, maintaining my sanity, getting enough sleep and not stressing is the right thing to focus on.
But the stress is centered on “ok... first weekday of kids home starts tomorrow and what if I can’t handle it by Wednesday?” Bill Maher said it best on Friday: pay attention to the three S’s: Sleep, Stress, Sugar. Get enough sleep, don’t get stressed out, and avoid too much sugar which only aids in stress.
Good luck to all of you. :)

If there’s a silver lining to this thing, it’s that we’ll finally realize that we’re all in his together as humans, living on a tiny spec of dust hurtling through the cold and mostly empty cosmos.

In Tokyo too (left Europe for this month-long preplanned trip when people were giving Asia the stink eye) and it is incredibly enjoyable here compared to what my fellow citizens are experiencing back home.
Everyone's urging me to extend my trip, citing lockdown, gloomy atmosphere and jobs all canceled or put on hold. Bit short financially but I might do just that considering I can't return and help friends or family out without possibly be the one that gives them some shit.Anyway, thought I'd point you opera lovers to some uplifting news.
In an effort to continue providing opera to its audience members, the Met Opera will host “Nightly Met Opera Streams” on its official website to audiences worldwide.
These free streams will present encores of past performances from its famed Live in HD series. The encore presentations will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST each night on the company’s official website and will then be available for an additional 20 hours thereafter. Each showcase will also be viewable on the Met Opera on demand apps.
