When will the final vote be announced?

    • when the live shows and judges have deliberated - but all down to public vote in the endfadein11
  • rosko_picachu0

The reason Scotland have the vote is because it's a vote for Scotland to break away from the UK, not actually the breaking up of the rest of the UK.

As for banks leaving, where is the evidence?A soundbite on the media channels?

That's all it really is. It does really fit into today's planned media timetabling of, "Let's get the no voters all on the radio and tell the Scots they are all leaving and taking their businesses with them."

Simple fact is, it's gonna be a good time to be starting up a business in Scotland because we can start to introduce systems to help funding of new enterprises. Funding that has been stopped.

This is really at the heart of it. Scotland as a self sustaining energy provider, or do you want to carry on creating more debt.

If Scotland have it better than those in the North of England, is that Scotland's fault for introducing better policies or a lack of them from Westminster? Or both?

How is it cheeky from Scotland, because we are no all THAT important Sem. Really? Nothing cheeky about it all. Maybe the north should be able to check our policy decision and run them past some folks down south first in case they get a bit jealous.

We know fine well what the important things are and they aren't whether you live in a big city or not, because people no matter where they live need the same basic things.

Housing, water, food, electricity, job creation. Not skate ramps so people in London can rollerskate to work.

Or whatever the City of London Corporation can dream up new ways of lavishing huge amounts of money on.

It's not what Scotland plan to spend their own money on, it's what London would spend it on that's the main concern.

    • The evidence for the Banks suggesting they are leaving is more proven than a good few of your claims mate.sem
    • "Not skate ramps so people in London can rollerskate to work" source? lol, or more pointless lies?sem
    • "people no matter where they live need the same basic things" on a VERY different scale. Surely you can see this?!sem
    • Thats like saying those living in a 2 bed flat have the same bills and rent as those in a house with 4 rooms.sem
    • You're claiming Scotland's cities have the same infrastructure as England's yet are half the size or less lolsem

    32% of the land area.
    61% of the sea area.
    90% of the fresh water.
65% of the natural gas production.
96.5% of the crude oil production.
47% of the open cast coal production
81% of the untapped coal reserves
    62% of the timber production
46% of the total forest area
92% of the hydro electric production
40% of the wind wave and solar energy production
    60% of the fish landings

    20% of the sheep herd
    9% of the dairy herd
    10% of the pig herd
    15% of the cereal holdings
    20% of the potato holdings
...obviously 100% of the Scotch Whisky industry.

    We have a...
    17 billion pound construction industry
13 billion food and drink industry
    10 billion business services industry
    9.3 billion chemical services industry
    A 9.3 billion tourism industry
    7 billion financial services industry
    5 billion aeroservice industry
4.5 billion pound whisky exports industry
3.1 billion pound life sciences industry
Scotland still has 350 million pounds worth of textile exports

We have 25% of Europe's wave and wind energy potential.

And finally we are blessed to have 1.5 trillion pound worth of oil and gas reserves.

All of this, yet only 8.3% of The UK's population...

    • I'd like the see the source of these stats. 1.5 trillion in oil and gas when the oil tycoons have said much less.sem
    • Also when the Oil Tycoon's and Whisky Exec's are saying vote NO does that not ring doubts? http://www.telegraph…sem

    • And lol at the old politician exposing that he's more Glaswegian than the man on the bike at 3.39 put in his place.sem
  • bumdrizzle0

Hi rosko, we (I say we, I'm Scottish but have spent the last 10 years in the US and England so don't have a vote) have a good chance of actually shaking up the established political order on these islands. But you have to concede a little. It's not all honey. It is better than jam tomorrow, but it isn't all honey. Reign it in, tell people the truth. It should be compelling enough on its own.

Braveheart as a contribution, good work. Jocks in private? Pakis if you were still allowed? Fuck off, simple ignorant cunts that don't realise you are fucked in exactly the same way as we all are.

  • bumdrizzle0

And for fucksake sem, you are still in the notes failing to understand spending. Your analogy was a motorbike vs a moped, let's call it 10 mopeds vs 1 moped so maths will be easier for you. London gets 250 pounds to fix every one of its mopeds (in this simplistic example that is ten mopeds) and Newcastle gets 10 for its single moped). You can multiply how many mopeds London has by whatever number you want, the ratio stays the same, that's how ratios work.

    • London moped would sell for more because people have higher wages here. BECAUSE there is more demand in the capital.sem
    • Moped being a metaphor for a house, properly, retail outlet etcsem
  • sem0

No, I think you're failing to take into account that London requires more money per head because the cost of living here is a lot higher than up north.

I'm not saying its just because there are more people, houses etc...but the cost of those houses are a lot more. The average wage is higher in London, so for those on benefits require more to keep up with London costs.

I mean, you live down here yourself!!! lol. Because you know there is more work, more money etc. London contributes more in many areas for so many reasons, I shouldn't have to explain this.

It does not mean that the north should be ignored, but you can't compare the cost of life in London to Newcastle and say they should be a flat rate, thats ridiculous.

    • Property, Rent, Travel etc are all cheaper outside of London because the services are in higher demand and use etc.sem
    • Are in higher demand in London that is*sem
    • £150,000 could prob buy a nice big place in Scotland. In London thats not even a studio flat.sem
    • Why would Newcastle warrant the same £££ when it doesn't provide same the same jobs. tax revenue etc as LDNsem
    • Like feeding starving chicks, the weaker ones will perish.chossy

My first house cost me £144,000 I still own it, its valued at about £190,000 it's a 2 bedroomed place 2 mins walk from the parliament, the house I currently live in cost me £144,000 to buy also :D it's also a 2 bedroomed place a couple minutes walk from the parliament, my girlfriends house cost her £70,000 and is now valued at about £110,000 it's a one bedroomed place about 10 mins walk from the parliament.

  • bumdrizzle0

Are you really arguing that the price of a tunnel is directly related the price of a house above it? I live here... lol, I'll guess you didn't actually laugh out loud and if you did you didn't understand why. Maybe you don't understand what lol means. Maybe you think lols in London are worth 25 times as much as lols in Leeds. You know, because of house prices and stuff.

    • "price of a tunnel is directly related the price of a house above it" OF CORSE! LOL!!! You must be trollingsem
    • Cost to build a tunnel under a huge city vs a tunnel under a farm house, very big difference, ask any structual engineer, donut.sem
  • bumdrizzle0

Maybe the reason that a high speed railway can't be built between Manchester and Liverpool is because house prices aren't as high there. Or zone 3 travel cards. What zone is Manchester even in?

    • I'm replying with sourced facts and info. You're just coming with your opinion. Well done thinking things through.sem
  • oey0

    Fuck facts and opinions.
Sean Connery should be King of Scotland.
Then, overthrow the King and abolish Monarchy and nominate by people's council someone.

Fuck EU and the Money with people's faces.

    Irish whiskey is better though...

    • Haha, and I gotta be honest. As frowned upon as this may be, American whiskey is my fav.sem
  • chossy0

So I've voted sem I did it by post. Which parliament do you think I'm talking about, its the Scottish parliamnet. Nowadays you can only get a very nice one bedroom for £150,000 a two bedroomed place is £190,000 plus, if you want to be anywhere decent.my post is to give you an idea of house prices in Edinburgh, but you should check out house prices in Aberdeen well expensive. The granite city full of oil.

    • All jokes aside I do hope you voted NO mainly because I don't think either side would benefit from the situation.sem
    • And Edinburgh is still very affordable compared to London which is a good thing. But is why LDN needs more £££sem

Trident. 100 billion pounds over the next 25 years for missiles built and provided by the Americans and controlled by American GPS or an independent Yorkshire? I know what i'd be voting for.

Imagine all that great produce stays in Yorkshire and you no longer have to import shite from Walmart?

    It's the way to go.

    • Rosko, you have no clue of economics, trade, the importance of import/export etc. Its embarrassing.sem
