WHY WHY WHY? After so many years and this still wasn't fixed:
Copying layers from one After Effects composition into another messes up entire layer order and you have to manually re-arrange the layers into their correct order.
WTF? WHY?
Or am I missing something?

Why can't I have multiple independent After Effects projects open like either in multiple separate AE app windows or some sort of tabs?
Seriously, it's so annoying not being able to have open more than one project at a time. Multi tasking is so limited that way.
I wonder if this is a technical limitation or if Adobe never thought about this.
- you can...I used to do that by opening 2 different versions of after effects. I think you need 2 instances of AE, could also work by duplicating the app.uan

anyone have this issue in adobe cc? launch app, asks you to sign in, you do, then 3 seconds later asks you to sign in again, so I can never actually sign in or use anything.

have no ae to test or experience with it, but then rgb would have more than 255 values.uan - ^ uan is correct, 8-bpc will get you RGB 0 255. Annoyingly no way to rangemap those #'s when working in 16/32 to the 8 range of 0-255.shapesalad

- Try logging out (CC in menu bar), rebooting, and then log back in from Creative Cloud (menu bar icon). I found that helps sometimes.monospaced

Does anyone know how this works exactly?
I'm rendering a fairly complex AE scene and I see that my CPU (just the base MBP 2.2 i7 6-core) is only utilized about 11%.
The fans are spinning though and the laptop is having some lags when I try to do other stuff.
So it seems CPU really being utilized heavily, so why does the activity monitor show only about 11% usage?
