Just read an interesting article about various people in the fashion or design industry who are known for generally wearing the same thing all the time. Made me wonder...
If you chose to wear one set of clothes every day, what would you choose?

Mine would consist of:
Short sleeved blue oxford shirt from Muji (or long sleeve in winter)
Heather Grey T-shirt as undershirt or worn alone
Nudie Thin Finn dry denim
I wear all of the above regularly now.
I'd probably vary between different shoes pretty regularly but could happily stick to the shirt/jeans above.
- I used to like you, but after this...oey
- Awwww.. You LOVE me now?mg33
- Like the top, but those look like girls' jeans. Stick to 501's and you got a good outfit.freedom
- They are no more narrow than 510's.mg33
- girls jeans? look pretty baggy to me.inteliboy
- They're not that tight. Just depends on size, although these are more slim than the other Nudies I have.mg33
- Maybe just the stitching on the back looks girly.freedom

@freedom, here's a snippet from Isaacson's book on Jobs.
"On a trip to Japan in the early 1980s, Jobs asked Sony's chairman Akio Morita why everyone in the company's factories wore uniforms. He told Jobs that after the war, no one had any clothes, and companies like Sony had to give their workers something to wear each day. Over the years, the uniforms developed their own signatures styles, especially at companies such as Sony, and it became a way of bonding workers to the company. "I decided that I wanted that type of bonding for Apple," Jobs recalled.
Sony, with its appreciation for style, had gotten the famous designer Issey Miyake to create its uniform. It was a jacket made of rip-stop nylon with sleeves that could unzip to make it a vest. So Jobs called Issey Miyake and asked him to design a vest for Apple, Jobs recalled, "I came back with some samples and told everyone it would great if we would all wear these vests. Oh man, did I get booed off the stage. Everybody hated the idea."
In the process, however, he became friends with Miyake and would visit him regularly. He also came to like the idea of having a uniform for himself, both because of its daily convenience (the rationale he claimed) and its ability to convey a signature style. "So I asked Issey to make me some of his black turtlenecks that I liked, and he made me like a hundred of them." Jobs noticed my surprise when he told this story, so he showed them stacked up in the closet. "That's what I wear," he said. "I have enough to last for the rest of my life."
- So he wore 1/100 identical shirts every day?freedom
- Have all the apple people dress the same?
Kind of like this ad in reverse

I always really liked that story. I don't even see it as an obsession. It's cool to simplify and weed out clutter and have things around that are familiar and comfortable, whether they're clothes or other things.

Actually, I don't like the color of that grey shirt I posted. It's too light. The kind of I have are more of the darker heather grey like below. I have at least 9 of these, different brands, different thicknesses, maybe different texture to the color. That's more coincidence than anything - I'm sure I've bought some at Urban Outfitters, some at American Apparel, and maybe other places.
- man i almost took you for a light heather grey sort of a guyscarabin
- Ha. I gotta keep it straight.mg33
- ugh v-neck!!! no... never a v-neck. who are you? tom cruise in then90s?fadein11
- the 90s oops.fadein11
- There's nothing wrong with v-necks in the summer. All I regularly wear are crew-necks.mg33
- V neck? Hello sweetheart can I get your number? xxxHAYZ1LLLA
- Whew! I just about panicked when I saw how much lighter that other bland-grey shirt was. This one is so much better. I can rest easy now.iCanHazQBN
