I eat a bit of fish from time to time, am mostly vegetarian and sometimes vegan.
i don't have set rules, only habits. I very occasionally will try a bit of meat depending on who is offering.
An ideal diet for me would be vegan but I just don't have the time or access to foods that allow me to live vegan. I do respect those that can do it properly.
also, I fucking love booze and guinness and lots of wines are not vegan.
- how is any wine not vegan?monospaced

I was vegan for 11 years - am now simply vegetarian. Being vegan is really a lot easier than most people think it is, and I was very healthy. I definitely credit veganism for my low blood pressure and low cholesterol. (have a bad history of both in my family) If you're thinking about doing it, I say go for it.

@all those who don't eat meat because of animal cruelty..
Not eating meat because of animal cruelty is pretty pointless. I sympathise with your righteous reasoning, but you might as well not exist. However buying meat that is ethically treated does make sense.
Not buying any meat at all means your 'vote' its not being counted. Encourage ethical treatment of animals with your purchases, buy good meat from happy animals.
- buying less cruel can't be better than buying no meat at all.lowimpakt
- buying less cruel forces producers to follow better methods, vegans will always be minority that's why it doesnt have any effectBeeswax
- have any effect. that's what your vote doesn't countBeeswax

i have always been intrigued by Vegans.. I have been vegetarian for close to 18 years now, but I am just too lazy of a person to commit to it.
but I am interested in your comment radiculture about it being easier than people think.. can you enlighten me a bit more..
i could be swayed..
- i guess i just dont want to be that person you always have accommodate at dinner parties..autoflavour

What I never get quite right is why a lot of people call themselves vegetarians and eat fish. What kind of vegetable is that suppose to be?
I remember one of them said cases in NY, little restaurant with a wooden frame with a phrase along the lines of 'If you hear your food screaming when it get slaughtered you surely be vegetarian' ...but had fish on the menu. I am sure they talk to trouts into jumping into a frying pan, quietly.
Anyway, a good friend of mine used to be vegan, but got anaemic and was skinny as fuck. She eat healthy, but being her a yoga teacher she simply could not make up for the amount of calories she spend on the average day. She would have turned into a panda bear, kind of, that spend 20 hours of the day eating because they only eat bamboo shots and crap like that...
- thats because they ARE NOT vegetarians.. the correct term is pescatarianautoflavour
