Oh that's crazy talk! Drugs are obviously the answer. Take as many as they will give you.

I was always curious about Ritalin.

Melanie. You're a spokesman for big pharma. OMG is right.
Got a problem? Take a pill. THAT IS A PATHETIC SOLUTION.

QBN is the #1 cause of ADD.

I don't have a problem with people taking pills for recreation, as long as safe, but this whole taking pills / life dependency is pretty sad to me, I rather experience that when I'm old and don't really have a choice you know?
You guys mention diets, what kind of diets are you guys talking about, I would love to read more about that.
- what about pills for people who've received transplants?jaylarson

Every symptom of ADD I've ever heard reminds me of myself when I was a hyper and energetic 7 year old (or simply most little kids for that matter).
But my parents instilled in me the importance of concentration and focus, especially through schoolwork, sports, and music.
And thus I matured. And became an adult.

well, working with overly active kids at come point in my life, it made me aware of the immediate effects food and drink have on the body. especially on a small one. artificial colors and sugars made kids foam at the mouth literally. ok maybe your not foaming, but, all that crap does affect us. i have also noticed artificial sweeteners they put in drinks and msg screws with you too.
here's a website i visit often. it's called earthclinic.

I'm curious...
Is ADD a problem in kids in South Korea and Japan? Specifically them since they are 2 leading first-world countries, but with distinctly different diets from the western world.- good question. a doc "future of food" touched on this a little bit.moldero

I'd imagine a smart survey.... asking:
1. diet
2. excercise
3. symptoms of ADDNote of course that most people lie about diet and excercise, the questions would have to be smartly worded...
but a larger study, that co-related all this would be interesting, as long as the sample size and distribution was good....

My score on the test was 86.
I've known I've had ADD since college. I always have tried to use it to my advantage, being able to juggle multiple small projects at once and thriving in offices that were distracting.
However, I got a new job with longer projects & a quiet office and it was killing me. I would just sit there, trying to focus but just feeling anxious and that I wasn't getting enough done, wasn't doing it right, trouble organizing, biting off more than I could chew, it was terrible.
Finally, I went to the doctor and got meds. It helps so much. It feels like there is a gatekeeper in my head that only allows productive and on task thoughts through.
That being said, I don't take my meds all the time. If I have a day where it's ok if I'm distracted, then I don't take them. And I try not to take them on weekends.
Also to the diet people. I cleaned up my diet, I am very careful about what I put into my body (lost 120lbs), and I was still suffering from ADD. It didn't get any better with the lost weight, I think it almost made it worse because I had so much more energy than before.
Go see your doctor, they can assess you and get you on the right track.

scored a 96, is that good? i wasn't paying attention.

FUCK! i got a 110. this is a little disturbing. I think i'd rather look at my diet than take adderall daily. Adderall is a fun drug for me, not a necessity.
