We go some pretty dope earbuds in the shop.
Marshall Minors & Urbanears both make a great click in ear model.

Skullcandy's are cheap and do the job. Just turn down the bass on your settings. Got a pair of "dub" version ear buds from target for 5bucks.

I had a pair of those weird hook-over-the-ear Bang & Olufsen Beosound 2 buds.....awesome!
Until I lent them to a dodgy bird and never got them back!

I've tried many ear buds in the past for working out from bang olufsen A8
These sounded great until the sweat ruined the sound
Nike Vapor
I broke about three pairs of these
to the basic apple ear buds
They worked fine until the rubber around the edges wore of leaving sharp plastic edges poking me eardrum.
But these are by far the best I've ever owned.

I have the apple in-ear buds, and generally like them - they sound great. However I don't take them to the gym or use them when I'm active because the cord carries all sounds of friction directly into your music. I think that is the case with most in-ear buds because they seal off your ear canals. You can also hear your breathing and heartbeat just as well as the music, and i don't like that.
- i ended up buying the apple in-ear buds, wear them to the gym as well and never had this issue?horton
- Well maybe I have them jammed too far in to my ears, or something.

i've used a lot while running and the best i've found have been jlab. i've been using these for the last year and a half and they are only $20 on amazon
http://www.amazon.com/JLab-Micro…i always have one earphone go out (on pretty much every pair i've ever owned-sony, deenon, klipsch, skull candy...doesn't matter as it seems inevitable while running and sweating), and these guys have replaced the pair time and time again for free (and quick). i'm sure others would probably do the same, but it has never been such a smooth/quick process as dealing with jlab.
these also look good:

- Sue me. I like the way mesh feels against my skin. This also allows me to clip my ipod directly to my stomach.letterhead

i have yet to actually hear a pair of expensive earbuds that absolutely warrant it's price. you're just not gonna get good bass from an in ear sized speaker.my last two pair was expensive sennheisers and cheap sonys. i prefer the sonys, the highs are less harsh and the bass doesn't distort.
- and a lot of it has to do with quality of the soundcard on the device you're listening on.sine
