Just saw a piece of Kelpie's work in the Recent Work thread. Its nice, but I can't help thinking its a visual that he's reroactively rebuilt from an uneditable pdf to suit his personal preferences, not those of his client.
Hmmm.
- I'm going to take a risk and dog-ear here. I feel confident there will be no more notes appearing on page 1 now.Horp

Page 2.
I'm sailing a lonely ship, but I'm glad I made it to page two. Can't be long now before others join in. I must believe that. I cannot give up hope now.- ^ oi! that's the pre bastardised nice version, the one I want to change.kelpie
- Hahaha, I were only joking Kelpie ol pal, based on insider knowledge and that ye ken?Horp

So I got some topless pictures done today...
My corporate employers had booked us into a session to get pictures for everyone who work here (i love workign in a corporate environment, its far superior to everything). Unfortunately i forgot today was the day i was getting my pics done, so i came in looking bedraggled and unkempt.
When i got to the basement where the dude had his equipment set up, the guy (and his female malaysiany assistant) told me that they're both documentary film makers and that they do these "corporate photos" on the side just for extra income. They also told me that they like to get creative with the pictures and try and get the people's personalities out. They said that they normally take 50-100 pics, and they'll give the corporate looking ones to the company and the other ones will be emailed to us.
Well, it turned out more exciting than i thought, as they got me to do freaky off the wall poses. Looking all gangsta, rolling up my sleeves, staring off in the distances, crazy angles etc...
Eventually, in conversation, it was revealed that i practice Muay Thai and i'm into my combat sports. At this point he told his assistant to close the door and to watch to make sure nobody comes. He then told me to take off my shirt, which i duly obliged, and he started snapping away.
I got some good pictures flexing my burgeoning pecs and arms, and fighter poses. He told me that he'll email the other pictures to me, but the topless ones he'll put on a cd specially so no one else need see them, and give them to me.
That was so much fun!
Of course I'll post the pictures here in this thread once i get them.
Cheers!

So, out of all the options available I've decided to get a project from last year ready to stick on my tumorous mutation of a website. I have so much work to try and get online, but this time I have selected a high-res environment build I produced for Scotch&Soda last year. It was mainly for a real-feel animated website but each room in the mansion needed to be produced for litho print in their A2 seasonal promotional brochure format.
So I was building web artifacts at SRA2 and 600dpi. Slow and painful!

I'm not particularly interested in being happy. I'm an experience of reality. The tough times make you. Hardship is Glory!

"Come on down to the mermaid cafe and I will buy you a bottle of wine. And well laugh and toast to nothing and smash our empty glasses down. Lets have a round for these freaks and these soldiers, A round for these friends of mine. Lets have another round for the bright red devil, Who keeps me in this tourist town"

You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.
Perform your duty equipoised, O Arjuna, abandoning all attachment to success or failure!

Right then, erm... yes, its funny, isn't it, how we as a nation seem to fall apart so very easily in the face of things not qualified to be called adversity, and yet... and yet, out of this humiliating national trait emerges one of much pride... the ability to make light of such things, the ability to laugh, to see the humour, to laugh at ourselves.
Somebody once said "Britain is a nation of shopkeepers". This threadmaster would like to update that for modern Britain and say
"Britain is a nation of helpless whinnying paraplegics unable to negotiate so much as a kerb stone, but we're having a wonderful time time laughing about it as we lie helplessly, flapping about on the ground".
- There you go Moveinspace. Thanks for dropping in and sorry for the delay.Horp

Ian is in the blog thread berating me (partly) for not showing up for a cup of tea at his place. He seems to be oblivious to the fact that I don't even read the blog thread anymore, much less participate in it.
Oh, wait though, how could I have known he was ...errr...
... anyway, that's beside the point.

So I started doing yoga last night.
I've been meaning to get into it for a while now, and most of my trainers have encouraged me to take up something like that to "cross-train" my body.
I did intend to go to one of these Bikram Yoga classes in Old Street that seem to be all the rage, but, unfortunately, i ended up spending £200 on a phone call when i was in my hotel in Munich last week.
So instead i decided to download a bunch of Rodney Yee yoga training videos. I highly recommend the "Yoga for athletes" series.
I thoroughly enjoyed the session as it was a welcome break from my usual training regime, and i look forward to next week for the next 1/2 hour of yoga.
namastay.

^ My girlfriend is into proper yoga. By proper... I mean she's into the whole discipline and doing it properly, not just 'keep fit' with a bunch of 70 year old divorcees in leotards.
I don't what sort she does to be honest because I'm not into it, but its not Bikhram its one of the more classical forms. She goes to an Ashram in Pondicherry every few years for a month or more and does the whole whipdiddly thing.
It is supposed to be one of the most beneficial disciplines for body mind and spirit though if you really get into doing properly. It blows me away that the actual 'yoga' aspect is not the moves and positions, its the ability to remain in a contemplative state whilst performing them that counts.
Apparently.
I only do pranajama in the mornings, and only then if I wake up by mistake and she makes me join in.
