Yeah imagine that, you know who said "You call this a protest? Costumes and £50,000 of destroyed tea!"
You guys and your swinging teabags and idiotic concept of history and fears of teh gay and all your bullshit article about "watering the tree of liberty" can't even stand up to real power without pissing in your fucking diapers.
- and its very simple is a public health option not a socialistic solution? if they simply dropped a lot of there control we cold make healthcare more affordable********
- healthcare would be more affordable...however i was reading about plans that give heroin to heroin addicts as social medicine, and reports its a positive...********
- social medicine and reports that its a fiscally good value. reports vary if its good or bad********
- probably both cant be related since the age of heroine addicts and ability to work fast food isnt the same as 70+********
- nor is the cost in the care... yea probably to far unrelated to find a happy medium.********
- ...but i digress from current thinking. what philosophy does a public healthcare option follow?********

god dammit, the public option isn't about the actual health care treatment. it is the option to get coverage for treatment. and it is paid for with premiums. do some fucking research.
- It's paid for with taxpayer dollars dude. PLEASE get your facts straight.********
- no. it isn't. dipshit.BonSeff
- uninsured and immigrants going to the ER is paid for with tax dollars. you fucking fool.BonSeff
- i dont care how they spin it a public options is paid with tax dollars. call it premiums if u like********
- what do u call the penalty that was proposed for not takign the option********
- there is no question in the philosophy behind such a public option.********
- a penalty will never pass. and it is paid for with premiums. it is a policy. jesus fucking christBonSeff
- so your saying its corporate business, that will operate based on peoples premiums alone if they choose it or not.********
- and who will see the profits, because if it operates at a loss it will fail. or will it operate at a loss and tax payers cover it?********
- its either an insurance company or its an insurance company subidized by tax payer dollars.********
- also what is the biz plan... lower rates to force other companies to lower theres, regardless of any loss or it its sustainable.********
- if its sustainable. gov biz survive bc taxpayer capital but others will be forced out of business.********
- i am not going to go through the trouble to explain this to you. if you dont get it, you dont get itBonSeff
- oh i get it completely, im just trying to help u out. u seem to be in denial that such an idea is by theory socialistic********
- they are charging premiums you halfwit.BonSeff
- nice spelling of 'theres'
omgBonSeff - minimal premiums that likely wont cover the costs. so then what. how will charging less and increasing coverage keep the plan in the black********
- in the black. and if they go in the red will the program be abandoned or will it be subsidized.********
- not to mention the layign down the infrastructure is a tax payer intial cost too. or is china providing startup cash?********
- if u think it won't cost a tax payer dollar please give me some of yur koolaid bc i'd be happier if i could believe that********
- It's paid for with taxpayer dollars dude. PLEASE get your facts straight.

Open Letter To The Angry Mob
"Dear members of the angry mob,
Over the past few weeks, we have been observing your activities with great interest. As you have stood, united in your cause, standing shoulder to shoulder with your fellow men, we have never been more confident that the whole is never equal to the sum of its parts. In fact it is not equal to the sum of one part. Collectively you have displayed intelligence no greater than the last lemming to jump off a cliff after all its brethren have lept."

the public option would have been great for small business. Not sure why a lot of conservatives can't see that.
- entrepreneurs, freelancers, all types of small biz.DrBombay
- becuase its only copetitive edge is that its tax payer supported and can operate at huge loss to force competition********
- I have photographer friends who are paying 4-500 a month for their current insurance.DrBombay
- Does your dad own an insurance company?DrBombay
- is that insurance for himself or whole family? and if he pays that its up to him expensive bet on getting sick.********
- I work for a company with three employees. Insurance costs us $3,000 a month.TheBlueOne
- I don't know what planet you live on deathboy.TheBlueOne
- Oh, my boss dropped our coverage in June bc it got to expensive.TheBlueOne
- yea companies pay too much for insurance, should cut out employer incentives to put the the demand back on the consumer********
- consumer. i dont know what i pay maybe 50% which is less then 100 bucks from me i think. its pretty cheap********

^ The Public option isn't dead yet. The vote yesterday was just to get the bill out of the conservative Senate Finance Committee. I think there are three or four opportunities in the future to incorporate it in some form into the Senate bill. The House bill is guaranteed to have it since the House Democrats are more liberal. And the final bill will be a negotiation between the House and Senate versions.
- yea people wont ever stop trying to get it..... the current ss, medicaraids cant continue to run without new capital********
- and to try to remove the failing programs is political suicide bc people are babies and don't want to give it up.********
- hopefully can might as much as possible until people understand its not a good idea. without eugenics********
- might?! meant delay... damn work interruptions********

Fuck the public option...
... keep the gov. out of it except to FORCE REGULATION so the prices come down and make sure insurance co's cannot decline coverage due to a pre-existing condition...
... all set.
- is "force regulation" the new fashionable watchword?TheBlueOne
- no... it's just mine... is it all over the righty talky shit?PonyBoy
- Don't know...let me check... :)TheBlueOne
- No...apparently not.TheBlueOne
- u cant force supply and demands without creating new distortions, less gov reg's in incentives and shit liek that********
- you obviously don't recognize the collusion between corporations and government do you?TheBlueOne
- and preexisting u gotta leave to the charities, nature, family or someone who cares...********
- Deathboy, have you or a family member ever had to deal with a preexisting condition resulting in dropped coverage?IRNlun6
- oh no i fully realize the intertwining of the 2. and u only get the increased prices we see happenign with such a thing********
- thing. why i say get out of it. take yur incentives take your programs and let the market bring down the costs********
- Mimio0
^This kind of regulation will just increase premiums and won't get more people covered in the long term. The problem is that insurers are bloated money wasting bureaucracies which are involved in backroom price fixing. They require real competition.

Oh fer fuck's sake...
In bitching and moaning about Obama's pitching for the Olympics in Chicago, Glenn Back yesterday made the statement that "Vancouver lost, how much was it? they lost a billion dollars when they had the Olympics."
Hey Glenn. Vancouver Olympics start in 2010. They haven't fucking happened yet.

You really do see the educational divide between party lines with this last mobbing of taintbaggers. Not to mention all those anvils who are bitching about health care. While they are the reason premiums are high , weighing 350 ilbs with American flag in one hand and a bucket of KFC in the other. ( minus teeth ). Keep the sheep fat and sick!!! God Bless this great corporate nation $$$$

Wow.

I don't understand how all these other industrialized modern countries have government funded healthcare, yet they work at least as well as ours, most have space for private insurance companies, they aren't nazis, and their old people aren't dying in front of death panels, yet these are the reasons giving, despite ALL the contrary evidence that enacting similar policies will doom America to some sort of dystopian Twelve Monkeys movie.
You're sense of history and understanding of the world is worst than useless. You;'re wandering around the Alps with a map of the Rockies and think you can tell everyone else where to go.
- replace "at least as well" with "much better"ukit
- I'll give the benefit that our current system has some positives over others. Some.TheBlueOne
- To be fair there are basically death panels in the Netherlands.Mimio

- its called economics. bc someoen else has soemthign doesnt make it good. if u look the plan is failing all over********

listen to the bill. I say that because judging by your attempts at spelling, reading it would probably be a chore.
I challenge you to find once piece of legislation that says the public option will be subsidized by federal income tax dollars.
you. fucking. rube.- which section covers the areas of losses? and im sure u think medicare isnt a tax its a premium and its covered by everyone else********
- everyone else********
- not too mention cutting the current shit that lead the market up higher then it should be doesnt cost a dime********
- That made no sense whatsoever. You should really take "english as a first language"DrBombay
- and yes reading a hypocritical bill by a gov, that bores u to death and is left open to different intteruptations for a broad use of power is taxing********
- broad use of power is taxing. Im sure thats why u haven't read it either********

From a recent interview with Gore Vidal on President Obama:
http://women.timesonline.co.uk/t…
...."Obama would have been better off focusing on educating the American people. His problem is being over-educated. He doesn’t realise how dim-witted and ignorant his audience is. Benjamin Franklin said that the system would fail because of the corruption of the people and that happened under Bush.”Vidal adds menacingly: “Don’t ever make the mistake with people like me thinking we are looking for heroes. There aren’t any and if there were, they would be killed immediately. I’m never surprised by bad behaviour. I expect it.”
Gore Vidal is a champ.
