    Craziness...

"His clinic was the site of the 1991 "Summer of Mercy" protests marked by mass demonstrations and arrests. His clinic was bombed in 1985, and an abortion opponent shot him in both arms in 1993."

    "Liberaltarians?"

"...there is a theoretical case to be made for liberals and libertarians at least continuing a dialogue. But for it to go anywhere, libertarians must scale back their almost single-minded focus on economic freedom as the sole determinant of liberty...In return, liberals can learn something important about economics from libertarians. Liberals often turn to government to solve social problems simply because that is their default position. But often, there are private-sector alternatives that may in fact be superior. The rich diversity of America's states and localities shows there are many different ways of dealing with social problems that don't necessarily require more government."

Back to the abortionist/murder killed today. Did you know that this man took the lives of an estimated 60,000 late-term babies?

And by the majority of the leftist media's reaction, such as the Huffington Post, for example, you would think that this muther-fucker was a victim?

    Fucking comical.

"you would think that this muther-fucker was a victim?"

Odd, when someone walks up to someone in a church with an automatic rifle and shoots them three times in the chest at point blank range, thus killing them, yeah, I guess they're not a "victim", eh?

You know, I'm on the fence with abortion issue, but I don't make moral judgements on people that decide on them due to their deeply personal and probably heart breaking choices. That's between them and their particular God to sort out. I think that Jesus fellow said something about not casting a stone or something, you know humans usurping god's place in dishing out the old cosmic retribution. An entire book in the Old Testament was about that as well, the Book of Job, I think it was called. Funny how these Christian folk seem to miss that and love to play god and dish out punishment themselves in god's name.

And with regards to this doctor, seemed to be that he performed late term abortions only when the embryos had very serious genetic conditions that would be fatal or life limiting for both the child and family:

    Anencephaly
    Trisomy 13
    Trisomy 18
    Trisomy 21
    Polycystic kidney disease
    Spina bifida
    Hydrocephalus
    Potter's syndrome
    Lethal dwarfism
    Holoprosencephaly
    Anterior and posterior encephalocele
    Non-immune hydrops

(go ahead and look those up on wikipedia. The pictures aren't pretty)

The cached version of Dr. Tiller's admission criteria shows the following:

    "Admission Criteria

In order to offer you an appointment, we require that a physician refer you to our center. In addition, we need your genetic counselor or doctor to provide us with gestational and diagnostic information regarding your pregnancy. Over the past twenty-five years, we have had experience with pregnancy terminations in such situations as anencephaly, Trisomy 13, 18, and 21, polycystic kidney disease, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, Potter's syndrome, lethal dwarfism, holoprosencephaly, anterior and posterior encephalocele, non-immune hydrops, and a variety of other very significant abnormalities."

You know, if this guy that shot Dr. Tiller instead approached Doctor Tiller and said "Hey pal, I don't like you killing these babies, so see if you can talk to these parents and have them give birth and then give me these children and I will take care of them because they're God's children..." And you know, maybe good folk who like to use the word "muther-fucker" [sic] would, instead of passing judgement, would also like to offer to take care of children born with thee conditions, eh?

Oh yeah, probably didn't want to be burdened with taking care of feeding children missing half their brains or faces, or severely damaged that wouldn't live past the age of three or so...much easier to use a gun. You know, cause that's what Jesus would do.

There's only one "muther-fucker"[sic] in this thread asshole.

    • You're defending this sick-fuck? Your defending him???Oh man!!!

  • designbot0

    TBO,
You are right in regards to Christians (or anyone else) taking things into their own hands, Biblical speaking in most cases the right is reserved for God alone. I say in most cases because there are a few conditions where I think we have that right. An example would be an act of self defense...as in, someone is coming after me or my family for blood, I then have the right to protect myself and my family be any means necessary.

I am completely against abortion and I think it is morally wrong. I don't think it's any different than killing someone in cold blood. What this Doctor did imo is completely reprehensible. Taking the lives of innocent babies (whether they had diformities or otherwise) is wrong. With this perspective, you can understand that some people view this man as a murder. I would be curious to know if this man was a serial killer, if anyone would have a problem with him getting killed? I am not defending the actions of the man who took the doctor's life in that Church, I think what he did is wrong. But with a view like this, I think it lends perspective on how somebody ( a supposed Christian) could do such a thing in cold blood....though again, not defending his actions at all. He will pay for what he did on earth, and in the after life.

    • Not sure where you christians get this whole retribution thing so mixed up. So it is OK to kill a serial killer?DrBombay
    • No Dr.b I didn't say that. See my first example. It is wrong...unless say this serial killer was coming after you and it's self defense.designbot
    • it you exercise self defense.designbot
  • TheBlueOne0

Good points designbot. Agree 100% with your first paragraph. Like I said I'm on the fence with abortion. I see both sides have a point, but as of the moment it is in fact legal in the United States. I think there is a bunch of moral gray area between terminating a pregnancy because one simply doesn't want to have a child (a lifestyle choice, which I find somewhat distasteful, if understandable in some situations) and terminating one because the embryo is severely damaged or malformed.

I don't think too many people make a third trimester choice to abort a fetus because of lifestyle choices..and if they do they shouldn't be allowed. I think these are deeply personal and painful decisions based on quality of life issues for the fetus and parents. It's a horrible thing to contemplate, but I get it. Of course, it strikes many who are already abortion foes as truly inhuman as the fetus is far more "human-like" in development. But I mean if the kid has half a brain, or severe extreme life-shortening deformities..I mean, wow..I am not one to pass judgement on parents who choice to terminate with that foreknowledge.

I find abhorent the self-righteous violence espoused and committed, and the eliminationist rhetoric employed by the more radical anti-abortion foes in this matter. And I really dislike the over-simplified moral arguments these neanderthals make. The crossroads of politics and religious ethical belief is strewn with bodies. I mean, if you think abortion is morally wrong, don't perform them, don't have one and if you feel so strongly, offer to talk to people contemplating them to make your point and offer to care for the children who heed your advice yet don't want to raise them.

Our friend GR only adds to it by using such language like "thsi muther-fucker [sic] gets what he deserves!" and boiling things down to "he took the lives of 60,000 third term babies!" without knowing what the circumstances and painful choices were made in these cases.

On a side note, just to be a total bastard, the very fact that this doctors practice was in a place like Kansas...huh, this deeply republican, christian state having the most abortions. I am not surprised. Sin bravely, invoking god's mercy, as always and calling the kettle black.

    • Charma for the good doctor is a bitch, isn't it. Fuck him and fuck Kansas for allowing this to take place.

^ Oh, but since what Dr. Evil was doing was legal, he gets a "pass" through the pearly gates? No, I don't think so.

And, did I mention that he earned millions and millions of dollars while killing these innocents? But, EVERY case was performed for folks who were "distraught", and making "the very most difficult and personal decision of their lives"... Fuck, you're starting to sound like the chosen one himself (aka: King Obama).

Spin this any way that you want TBO. However, it won't bring the baby-slayer back, thank Jesus. And we're all better off sans this evil prick, whether you know so, or not.

  • BonSeff0

Not everyone believes in the gated community in the clouds, a-hole, and in none of your fox news inspired rants have you mentioned the mother's making this choice.. you are putting the blame squarely on the practitioner. seriously ignorant. it's not like the doc is throwing $1000 cash back incentives for these abortions. you are a fucking idiot.

  • designbot0

I actually agree with GR. Simply because abortion is legal in the US, or because the women "made" the decision does not give this doctor any sort of excuse for carrying them out. He still is the one who poked a hole in these innocent babies skulls and sucked out their brains (yes this is what happens late-term) I find it personally disturbing that he did not find a conflict between his spiritual beliefs (assuming he was actually Christian and not just a church-goer) and his practices as a doctor. The truth is there is LOTS of money to be made especially in performing late-term abortions as there are not many doctors willing to perform these procedures (in comparison with early abortion) Whether he sold-out for money or actually convinced himself what he was doing was "okay by God" is not for me to judge.

    • What is your stance on the death penalty? Let's see how consistent this is.DrBombay
    • Dr.B is it not clear that taking an innocent babies life is much different than executing a serial killer/pedophile rapist etc. ?designbot
    • Who made you the judge?DrBombay
    • One is judgement for a persons actions...the other is taking a life that didn't even get to take a single earthly breath.designbot
    • Who made you the judge?DrBombay
    • So if a pedophile raped all the little ones in your family, then killed your parents, should he be kept alive in prison?designbot
    • What about the sanctity of life?DrBombay
    • Sorry to ask such a disturbing question, but these are the things that I think about when I question the death penalty.designbot
    • All killing is wrong, isn't it? What makes you better? Isn't this basic Jesus 101?DrBombay
    • Please answer my question. Giving those circumstances would you want a person like this to be kept alive?designbot
    • I am not a christian, I don't identify with any religion with rules. so what difference does it make?DrBombay
    • you do though.DrBombay
    • Because it seems pretty clear (Christian or not) that a vile person such as this that only causes death and destruction should pay for their actions and not be kept alive.designbot
    • and hurt should not be kept alive in our society. This is what I consider just judgement.designbot
    • You aren't a very good christian then, if you think you can deliver that judgement call.DrBombay

Bonseff, how the fuck do you know ANY of the facts of what goes on. Did you work for the Dr.? Do you have a major in abortion? I'd like to know what makes YOU so god-dammed smart? What makes you think that the mothers making these choices, and Dr. Evil are making the right choice, EVERYTIME?

And you REALLY think that the good Dr. Evil gave a shit? Bottom line is, you don't know, TBO doesn't know and I don't know the specifics of every circumstance and what made the bastard tick.

Safe to say that it takes a "rare-bird" to kill fully developed babies?

What I do know is that he won't be profiting from a service that just 3 doctors (oops, only 2 left) in the entire country perform, anymore.

    • I love how you don't mention the evil man who killed the doctor with the same disdain, you fucking inconsistent pile of crap.DrBombay

Fine. Here. Here's one of the conditions of the fetus for which the doctor would perform an abortion for in the third trimester. Go ahead and fucking look, you judgemental pseudo-christian assholes:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ane…

Go ahead and take a long look at that picture. Now imagine you are carrying that child, or your wife is. And you CAN'T know about that condition until the late 2nd or early third trimester. Is there a moral and humane case to be made for abortion? If not, imagine carrying that full term, giving birth and having to take up the medical expenses incurred? The emotions that would be involved? Do YOU want to deal with that? Would you, as a person who is against abortion in ALL CASES agree to pay the medical tab? Would you take carer of that child instead of a parent? Would you?

No? Then shut the fuck up. Always ready to tell other people what to do with their lives and wombs and you can't even fucking spell "karma" right.
