First test drawing on duralar, you can draw and paint on both sides almost like tracing paper, but it doesn't warp.

- I flat it out then use a gradient map to block in the colours, then tidy it up as I go.

- @Nairn I used a 3d model from a base mesh with the clothes added and them Mixamo for the walkscycle. Rendered in Blender then roto'd with Procreate.PhanLo
- Tried a few AI attempts at walkcycles, but I like the control of having the real models and the ability to change lighting etc.
Still quite kitbashyPhanLo - The background street elements in the animation are AI images. I always use them as placeholders then get real images from streetview as proper ref.PhanLo

Quite enjoying getting slowly into procreate, mostly use the default pencil, but been trying some watercolour bits too.
the workflow is fast to finish out in Photoshop.

First proper (ish) drawing of the new year, good to do some pencil drawing properly again. It's for a guy who buys my paintings nephew.

- This was an A4 pencil drawing. Usually I comp together a reference then us my monitor screen as kind of lightbox to map out the leading lines and shapesPhanLo
- quite loosely and then when I'm at the table drawing I have a really old iPad with my reference image on. Once I get the character to a point where I'm happyPhanLo
- I can have a bit more fun adding the shop names and freestyling a bit. My mate Micky likes a drink so he has a pub in there. My other mate draws skullsPhanLo
- so I hid a wee skull between the buildings.
Often because I'm terrible at getting it like the reference it looks completely different.PhanLo - All the text on the Japanese signage is lifted from shops in Akihabara that I found on Google Maps.PhanLo
