Would you get XP or Vista installed on a new DELL Workstation. I like XP today, but what about in a year or so?

I installed vista up my ass and so far it's running like a dream.

What a trouble. Vista is a better OS, lots of options, and works on prepared computers. Better interface, better file management - but get XP if you dont want to hurry back to the vendor. Vista has lots of bugs. It's either a new nose with sniffing troubles, or the same old dry limited interface.
- This to be on the safe side. I've been running Vista for 8 months now and never had any complication.********

I have a Mac and run Vista on it. Thus far it's been fine (although Adobe can suck it with there CS3 suite). I'd recommend Vista over XP.
I'd recommend the Mac, OSX, and Vista connection. I'm digging it. Everything I need on one computer.

Running Windows on a Mac is fine, but make sure you have enough RAM and HD space.

based on your web site, either one works for you.

Vista. I've been running it on the Dell I bought nearly a year ago and it's been just as reliable as XP ever was and it looks nicer.

dude, run it with linux instead. where's the rebel in you? lol.

I'm leaning towards the Dell Precision T7400

I don't like Vista. I was forced to take it with my computer replacement, but still have XP on my other machines.
The only feature I like is that when you rename a file, it only highlights the name, not the file type. Everything else I hate.
Maybe it is CS3, but I can't open PS and Ill at the same time. Computer is faster, has 3gigs of ram, but is a dog compared to my XP machines (and I've got Aero and all that pretty stuff turned off).
I've also had tons of problems with Win Explorer not opening correctly (blank windows), and some employees have had the same issues.
Maybe it is Firefox (it sucks a ton of ram), but still shouldn't happen. This was enough for me to consider Apple more and more (although I also hated OS X). Give me something super simple, attractive interface and I am good.
I pray I can still get XP 64bit on my next machine.
