3 season of 16 episodes each instead of 2 with 24 episodes.
It was a compromise between the producers and the channel.

This episode's ending (the part about Ben and the Dharma Initiative) have much of an impact on me. I think it's because we've been dealing with so many characters and things lately that I completely forgot about the Dharma Initiative and the questions about Ben.

...aaaand I just realized that this episode did provide lots of answers. Including the most important one of all....
that the bones of Roger from the vehicle Hurley found are the same bones, vehicle, and let's not forget beer, of Roger, Ben's father! w00t

Ben going to a secluded place to talk to Jacob and then return with information for the Others reminded me of how egyptian pharohs used to retreat to the temples for a few days only to return and screw over their people, saying the gods asked for your gold, now hand it over.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing that the entire show has a "real life" or "believable" explanation, as the creators claim (they also hinted that there aren't any supernatural causes, blah, blah, but I haven't read up on it for a while so I can't confirm it).
But I guess we'll see when it finishes.

Charlie redeemed himself a bit in the last episode. I still think he should die though (if a character is supposed to die or disappear, which will undoubtedly happen in the finale). Although the writers many not do that since he's too predictable of a choice.
I wonder if Desmond was really going to go down there and if he "saw" the part where Charlie is going to be surrounded by other people in the underwater facility.
Should be a good finale, but I really don't think the show should go on for more than 2 more seasons. Oh well. At least the number of episode will be shortened...

i just finished season one and disc 1 of season 2. I''m def. hooked but it can be annoying how they drag out scenes of suspense that should be over in two minutes (if this was a movie), instead they take 20 minutes to resolve themselves.
