lost has so gone downhill.
early on, lost had me fucking hooked. crazy borderline science fiction plotting along. the others were sick and mysterious and ominous and could do just about anything.
this season is terrible. the others look like nothing more than a bunch of angry hicks who carry around guns and cant handle ANYTHING. what happened to them sneaking around the island in drags and not making any noise and lethally killing people with their bare hands?
now they wear flannel and denim jeans and carry shotguns, and the big fat guy without the beard is SO MUCH GAYER WITHOUT THE BEARD.

While I agree with many of your points, some of the episodes are pretty good (like the last one featuring Desmond). Everyone's pretty frustrated about the lack of clarification, but everyone still watches it every week anyway. Because it's interesting.
Hopefully the creators actually stick with their words and only have one more season after this (or maximum: 2 more) to explain many things and wrap it up.
Some of what you're saying about the Others is just insinuated. There are still many things we don't know yet.

i dont care about answers not being revealed...at least not so much..
i care that what HAS been revealed has been reelly unspectacular. right now the others just seem fucking stupid.. there is no sense of mystery or power anymore.. its just normal lookin folks with nothing but guns and tempers who don't give answers.

I don't know, I see it kind of differently I guess. They're definitely not as powerful as they were once perceived to be by the main crew. It could have something to do with how the creators said there was a logical explanation to everything, suggesting that everyone isn't all that different from everyone else in terms of what one would do if they were stranded on an island.

Just hope lost doesn't end up like Twin Peaks - too many characters, too many subplots and it just spun out of control and you'd wait weeks to see a follow up to an episode.

I'm so there, I started the thread on Heroes, TheBlueOne ;)
qruise, in the beginning Heroes did suck more than Smallville, but now Heroes is better. Smallville sucks ass, except that it's really entertaining and worth watching every week just for the superpowers (because that trumps everything else). Same goes for Heroes, except there are even more people with powers, so it wins over Smallville.

i agree. a guy with a huge beard wearing rags and saying cool shit like "LIGHT EM UP!" is way more imposing than a fat guy whos man tits are accentuated by his flannel and t-shirts, with a clean shaven face and now-suddenly-sympathetic-and-nic... facial expressions.

seriously, when looking at the Others now, i cannot possibly imagine any single one of them sneaking through the jungle in total silence, ready to snap someones neck or wisk them away without making a sound.
i imagine them walking around like little prairie farmers with their guns and being like "oh shit! one of the crashees! shoot them omg!!"
and WHO THE HELL is that guy with the eye-patch seen in the security moniter?? wheres the info about the ISLAND!

I agree they're not as scary as they were made out to be. Some of the weird A Clockword Orange-like shit is a little creepy though.

I'm probably the biggest Lost fan on this stupid site and I think this season has gotten the tea bag. The only way they can save the show is if Locke kills Charlie next week and the week after that Jack Baur flies in an interrogates him. Then later Jack destroys the security system with Takezo Kenseihe's sword which he killed Hiro for. Eat that fan boys!
