Guys,
i advise you not to take any supplements that are supposed to give you more energy and burn fat faster. It sounds good in the beginning, but is very dangerous. After you stop taking them, you get all the weight back very quickly, plus your health only gets worse.
I used to take Hydroxycut for a while and now regret it.
Also, RedLine makes you feel like you're on crystal. It's the worst shit.
Pretty much anything with XXX, SUPER, FAST, etc on the label is pretty dangerous for you.
It's better to just eat healthy and do cardio regularly.

thanks kona.
I much prefer sweet potatoes.
1) So are Yams, and Butternut Squash in the same family as sweet potatoes??
Thats a great site, cheers for that.
2) Also, Pasta and bread is out - what about rice? Is there specific type of rice grain that is better or what?? Is it conducive to a low carb diet?
3) I'm thinking of taking up Creatine supplements. I would do this alongside Whey Protein supplements. Is this a good/great way to gain muscle mass?? In your own personal experience, how will the Creatine help me achieve my goals and is it an efficient way of doing so?
Thanks!
(i'll prolly have to bump this thread for when you wake up)

Wow, how did I miss this thread.
I'm in. What do I do, swear an oath not to snack or divulge in obsessive eating no more then once a week?Keeping a training-log. Anyone else doing that, and want to set up something online? An NT-FIT log sorta thing.

Yo Kuz. Info below...
1) So are Yams, and Butternut Squash in the same family as sweet potatoes??
- I think they are but don't quote me on that. Actually, I think a sweet potato is a Yam but again, I'm not sure.Thats a great site, cheers for that.
- Thanks. Version4 did a heck of a job setting it up.2) Also, Pasta and bread is out - what about rice? Is there specific type of rice grain that is better or what?? Is it conducive to a low carb diet?
- Brown rice is far superior to white rice. It works the same as a sweet potato. Wheat pasta is also far better than regular pasta. Both can be added to your diet.3) I'm thinking of taking up Creatine supplements. I would do this alongside Whey Protein supplements. Is this a good/great way to gain muscle mass?? - Creatine has never worked for me. My body holds a ton of water as-is and I always found with Creatine and Glutamine it held even more and my face ended up looking puffy. Nowadays I'm sure there are better Creatine 'Transport Systems" out there but I'll never go back and waste my money with it. I just couldn't ever get it to work for me but, I have friends who swear by it. I know supplements react differently to different bodies so it very well may work for you.Good luck.

(Feb 22 07, 06:34)To help with my training log I use my polar watch which tracks the time, calories burned and %fat calories burned and average heart rate per workout, then compare it week by week. I can't imagine working out without it.
This could be a section added to the FC Trials on thefitclub.net site.

haha. Thanks flavor but in that pic I look like shit.
It was a humbling experience.
I can say however I look a whole lot better now. Couldn't/wouldn't have done it without the motivation started by this thread and Point5.

Kuz the one thing I can tell you is to stay far away from this crap.
http://www24.netrition.com/cellt…
Look at the sugar content. 75 grams. Some creatine supps pack in a whopping amount of sugar claiming that helps boost your insulin level to absorb more creatine. That's all fine and dandy but when your body boosts it's insulin level that much it can only use a small portion of it, so the rest gets stored as fat.
Be careful which brand you choose.
Most of my supplements come from Labrada. Their products cut out all the shit you don't need.

cheers kona,
I really dont wanna go down the suppllement root, and i'm just all into refining my normal food diet.
Dont seed the need to go beyond the protein shakes, cos i dont have time ability to fit in as much food eating preparing time as i'd like.
Have you herad of NoXplode? Meant to make you train harder and better - is there any stuff you'd recommend to take whilst working out??

(Feb 22 07, 07:14)Yeah I've heard of it. One of the guys I was talking about before is on that and he swears by it. Who knows though.

yeah, i'm gettng mixed info.
Such a minefield
But if you didn't need to use it to get to where you're at, then i dont need to go down that road either. Considering i'm not intendin to be nearly half as big as you.
Just normal workout with loose weights and protein shakes after is enough for me.
ta.

Allright, I have a polar watch NT buddy. But I don't log heartrates cause my type of cardio exercises varies. I just bring it to keep an eye on the heartrate.
Kuz, about rice, yams and other fast carbs, have them right after your workout to get your levels back up fast. Erh, maybe you already talked about that. Didn't read the whole thread. Yet.
