why is it I know "jack" yet all the peeps suggesting someone with emotional probs seek weed as a remedy are cool?
Anyway, call it want you want Nairn (you're right regarding terminology) . I think we both agree that a regular smoker has probs. that was my point. and no, it doesnt compare to psychoactive drugs as far as addiction.

I can def sympathize with alot of the posts on here. One thing I've been trying to rely on is exercise and reading a good book.
The exercise gets natural endorphins flowing, which help clear your mind, sweat out some toxins, and just ease the tension and anxiety that builds up over the course of the day.
The books are just a good way to keep your mind distracted/busy, but in a way that requires creativity beyond staring at the TV.

both jevad and ponyboy, pay no attention to the fuckwads in this thread.
it's pretty fucking sad that people choose to tear these guys apart rather than offer genuine advice/insight (*excludes anyone that has actually given a shit).
yeah, this isn't a psychiatric forum, but it is a place where these guys have been around for a while, and it is a place where they have helped other people out that were in a bind, and it is a place where they have talked shit, and they have been shit-talked to!
/end rant, but c'mon. it's pretty fucking obvious that this is a serious matter.

Been through some shit myself. Cognitive therapy helped more than any medication.
It involves recognizing unhelpful or destructive patterns of thinking and reacting, then modifying or replacing these with more realistic or helpful ones.
Best of luck in taming the beast.

PonyBoy - Be prepared for a new suggestion when you get back to your doctor.
The 'agitation' you are exhibiting will be dismissed as 'addiction and addressed with a new medication.
The step up from paxil is lithium in some cases [bi-polar and acute personality disorders].
Don't buy into the next fix without giving your system a chance to clean itself out.
Excercise [Long walks with a digital camera count], private time to think, good diet, and apply these things with some discipline.....try to maintain an even keel.
good luck with what you are suffering from withdrawl wise.....

Hey PB, some great information and advice here by the gang. I have kinda gone through some of the same things at times when I came off my meds. Was diagnosed with Bi Polar about three years ago but have been without meds for the last 4ths months without much incident fingers crossed. I started a thread called Bi-Polar Bear if you search for it got lots of great advice from peeps that I think would help you out bro. First off don't drink or smoke weed as I have done plenty of both I can also say that they will only make you more manic more depressed despite how you initially feel. Exercise is really good too. Good luck amigo hang in there it most def gets better and you will feel so much better if you can live your life med free in the end.
