Sits up are good, crunches are under-rated I think, and have been more effective in flattening my stomach than the situps.
I walked past a gym shop one day and saw one of those incline situp benches for $55, grabbed it, and it's great. The situps on it were good, but screwed with my lower back, so i started doing crunches, and the improvements were immediate.
Getting rid of that last layer of fat to really expose the abs, like the other guys have said, is just cardio cardio cardio.

what helped me was a personal trainer...since im very lazy and puch everything into the future, i needed someone to push me to work out and run....and it have acctually helped...i went from 22% bodyfat to 15% in 2 months...

no matter how hard u work your abs, while you have a layer of fat ontop of them you wont see them.
do some hard cv, abs crunshes, leg raises and they will come in time.

Climb and run and do general exercise, I have had a six pack since as long as I can remember, ha ha I even modled it once for a photo shoot he he, I might scan the picture one day and make all the hot chicks on here swoon.

lower abs - leg raises etc. are where its at
but body fat is the real issue.i agree - surfing.

Tyra says just suck it in - If you stand up straight and suck it in, it looks better - but it's hard to breathe. Also if you stand with your legs facing one way and your torso turned 45 degrees you look thinner.

Definitely cut down on sugar, alcohol, and carbs. Do a lot of crunches, but if you don't do a lot of cardio, you will still have a layer of fat on top of them.
The most effective ab workouts are swiss-ball crunches and the bicycle exersise (the one where you lay on your back and pedal your legs.
Keep pushing yourself. Look at this dude:

lose weight. even if you have killer abs, they'll be hidden if you're carrying a few extra pounds.
more effort than it's worth, if you ask me.
