"Mistakes Christians make when dialoguing with atheists"
http://carm.org/mistakes-christi…- #4 is the funniest, because their arguments have almost no facts, and of those, almost none can be supportedmonospaced
- "their" being the religious ones, of coursemonospaced
- both Christianity and atheism are identities in that both side cant handle if their ideas are false.yurimon
- that may be true, but christians believe in the most fucking ridiculous myths, while atheists don't.monospaced
- atheists can back up most of their arguments against god while christians can only point at a biblemonospaced
- well then back it up. tell me about your enlightened truth that you cant prove or disprove..yurimon
- sure which one you want to know? be specific.pango
- if you add a cup of water (H2O) with another cup of water (H2O), now you have 2 cups of water (H2O).pango
- it doesn't magically turn into wine by staring at it. or saying some magic word.pango
- be specific. or i might just go on with random shit. lolpango
- I guess you have no idea of what an allegory is. Atheists and Christians interpret the bible at face value are dumb.yurimon
- /endyurimon
- Yet you are reflecting a simple q and a. You have yet to answer my questions from previous posts.pango
- You have yet to prove or disapprove whatever you said. Yet you asked of me to do the same. Which I've done. Your turn?pango
- Your turn?pango
- *deflecting.pango
- pango, the irony is that both belief systems have no evidence to prove or disprove. but i guarantee if about 80 % of atheists are put in a life or death situation....you'd be crying out for god or something supernatural to save you...yurimon
- atheists are put in a life or death situation....they'd be crying out for god or something supernatural to save them...yurimon
- well ya. if all logical possible options are ruled out. the only thing left to do is to try the illogical ones.pango
- oyu're gonna die anyway. things can't be worse. it's like beating a dead horse.pango
- http://www.powderblu…pango
- you never hear of anyone saying "oh randomness, save me!" Save me you quantum energy field". lolyurimon
- and you are wrong one one thing. atheists uses science and logic to prove many thing. where religion can't prove anything.pango
- well because they say the action of prove disqualifies faith. hence they don't prove anything.pango
- and this is where the irony comes in. they often asks the atheists to prove things.pango
- it's only fair if you asked me to prove thing i would ask you to do the same. can you prove those magic power you mentioned exist?pango
- exist?pango
- If you were smart and understood your own physiology. you'd know that logic is only a left brain phenomenon.yurimon
- so I congratulate you on your brain imbalance... http://i.kinja-img.c…yurimon
- so your only holding on to the god belief just in case? so when you cry out, he will answer?moldero
- even though he helps no one else, even all those starving children who didnt even have a chance to sin yet, he will help you?moldero
- you? a sinner? ok.moldero
- im not holding on to any beliefs. I dont think you or anyone on here is in real position of certainty cause you cant prove or disprove.yurimon
- disprove.. You are the ones who may not be able the possibility you are wrong. i a, more interested in truth.yurimon
- dude, once again, atheism isn't a belief system. It's literally the opposite. It requires no faith.monospaced
- literally, everyone is born atheist until some fucking JACKASS tells them about some fucking madeup god.monospaced
- that is the fucking difference.monospaced
- you seem pretty hung up on it. smells like belief system to me.yurimon
- and you seem unable to answer even the most basic of questions, yurihereswhatidid
- christ, can you event tell us definitively what you had for breakfast this morning?hereswhatidid
- @hereswhatidid. sry even if he tell you what he had for breakfast, you wouldn't be able to understand.pango
- because you did not eat your breakfast with your left brain.pango
- good pointhereswhatidid

- faith is not an argumentdoesnotexist
- but the topic of faith can be.pango
- your in the same boat buddy. the prove it bucket. dont be a crab in that bucket.. you ever seen crabs in a bucket?yurimon
- yurimon0
- not bannedmonospaced
- what are your comments on the content?yurimon
- Do you agree with what he says, yuri? Yes or nohereswhatidid
- I am in exploration of what he is saying. I find it interesting, I am looking for more details...yurimon
- You want definite answers to questions that are mere possibilities of what may be true.yurimon
- so you can't give a straight answer but you want one from everyone else?hereswhatidid
- you are so full of shit, manhereswhatidid
- i would give you an answer if I was 100% certain...yurimon
- i would give you an answer if I was 100% certain...yurimon

The interesting thing about Rupert Sheldrakes 'Science Delusion' stuff is that I can't find a single occurrence of refutation from anyone holding a more dogmatic materialistic opinion or any opinion for that matter. What little opposing opinion there is seems to dwell on generic and dismissive attacks. No one has taken his points, one by one, and claimed bullshit. Anyone? Bueller?
- i haven't even watched it. 18 mins. that's 16 mins too long.pango
- It's thought provoking and IMO worth the investment of your time. In essence it tries to establish that science is going down a road previously inhabited by religion.Morning_star
- ...going down a road previously walked by religion. He makes a good argument too.Morning_star
- have you tried google? "refute rupert sheldrakes" returns quite a few sourceshereswhatidid
- As I mentioned in the post, not one of those refutations deals with any one of the ten points that Sheldrake makes. They are ALL generic 'woo' based criticism.Morning_star
- ...ALL very generic 'woo woo' based criticism.Morning_star
- Dude. We're busy figuring out the meaning of life and if god exists. We don't have 18 minutes to watch a video.********
- Well that's just dandy, i expect you've got time to make the reefer though and listen to yer so called hippity-hop music..Morning_star
- i don't like hippity-hop music....pango
- I think once politics come into play with anything like science or religion. or if you get a hierarchyyurimon
- of people in a system, you get bad anything...but it worth to question everythingyurimon
- Don't think that's religion... that's just human nature... this is why everyone thinks you are deflecting questions...pango
- when I get 100% sure of all this you guys are the 1st to know. if im still on this forum/threadsyurimon
- so all this time you are arguing with something you are not sure of...pango
- dude. I'm not arguing im questioning. its a good thing. to question... try it..yurimon

Pastor Fred Waldron Phelps Sr. was excommunicated from the Westboro Baptist Church after advocating a kinder approach between church members.
The excommunication occurred after the formation of a board of male elders in the church. The board had defeated Shirley Phelps-Roper, the church’s longtime spokeswoman, in a power struggle, and Fred Phelps Sr. called for kinder treatment of fellow church members.
The board then ejected Fred Phelps Sr., who founded the church in the 1950s.

lol :)yurimon - "faith" proves nothing eithermonospaced
- yurimon, are you a christian?monospaced
- Is that how you are labeled? if one questions everything?yurimon
- no, I'm just asking if you are labeled as a christianmonospaced
- you can break from labels mono, you can do it.yurimon
- I know, I was just asking you a yes/no question. Do you label yourself a christian?monospaced
- And since you insist, I don't prefer to label myself anything in particular, but I am certainly atheistic.monospaced
- I'm not christian nor do I label myself. I align with ideas but everything is under investigation.yurimon
- subject to change. prob more stronger alignment with natural law.yurimon
