The only point that Bush has on banning gays from Marriage is the fact that gays cannot procreate in the traditional terms. But what about Heterosexual couples who are infertile. Should they not be allowed to get married?
Anyway, screw BUSH, he's just trying to avoid obvious issues.

like we need more procreation in the world anyway.

it's so cute how you struggle for my attention, buddylee.
try to put more thought into it in the future, though. your attempts lately have become pretty sad.

apart from the gayness, the idea that a constitution can be ammended without a referendum is one very very dangerously undemocratic situation. Of all the US constitutional ammendments this is the first one that seems to be driven by bigotry.

i don't see what the big deal is. it's incredibly hard to get a constitutional amendment passed (they've been going on about the flag burning one for over ten years now), so that won't happen.
from the looks of it, civil disobedience is gonna be the way, with more and more city halls issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. the world hasn't ended yet, so maybe those marriages really aren't so bad.
In the end, Bush is just using this to distract us from all the issues he's fucked up on.
