Just got back from a night ride with my daughter on her new quad, she loved it. Culiacan is dead on semana santa (spring break) everyone in this town is at some beach getting drunk, we were riding on the biggest normally busiest streets and not 1 car in sight.

pretty much nothing planned for the entire year, holiday or trip wise.. except for April.. was meant to be going to amsterdam next week, then to my nieces communion the week after.. then to geneva the week after that.
got the call this morning, my dad's cancer is rapidly expanding.. doctors give him 7-10 days.
flying back on saturday.. berlin to sydney.

Today my brother shows me our longtime friend's Facebook page, which he started recently. On April 1st of all days, there were pictures of him posted with a woman that lives in the same area, one of day they met, matching infinity tattoos on the middle fingers, lots of pictures together. He didn't post them, she did, and they are not pictures of his wife... oye! Oddly enough none of the likes are from his family. Dude! o.0

So, after yesterdays new of impending death, cancellation of many different trips and accomodation, new bookings for international air travel in under 4 days..
this morning i get a call from my mum
turns out my dad was pretty heavily sedated when the doctor talked to him in and in his haze he must of misunderstood what she was saying..
upshot is.. not dying in the next 7 days
downside.. apart from the 200 or so euro we lost in cancelling all that shit yesterday, we now have to go back and rebook it all.. but instead of getting cheap prices from booking months out, its now pricey..
money hey..
its just money- but on the upside, my dad is still going to kick on for a few months yet..

mum called today, dad died.
