Got a photo of some packaging from a client today as a proof from the manufacturer. I am in awe and can only wonder how they fucked up so royally considering I gave them 3D files of each individual packaging part, renderings of the final packaging assembled, as well as the packaging complete with the printed artwork and the product inside. The packaging won't even fit inside the box the way they've made it. Kind of upset all tomorrow morning will be scrambling to somehow better inform them though they have over 30 renderings in assorted states and angles explaining exactly how each piece looks individually & assembled. So glad this isn't my fault.
- they don't speak your language. that's the only thing i've ever come up with as a reason stuff is always messed up.capn_ron
- the clients got it fine, their manufacturer seemed to ignore everything and made all their own decisionsalbums
- but hey, that's retail, I could blame the client for not using my recommended manufacturer, but why?albums
- i meant the manufacturer. They are probably just doing what they think is right and easy.capn_ron
- I deal with this all the time. They don't read my spec sheets. they do what they want.capn_ron
- i'm flabbergasted. I've worked with this client for years and this is the first fuck up I've seen, crazy it's so royalalbums

The more people an elected official is supposed to represent equates to the exact inverse of the level of representation for that particular population. It is a simple to see that the smaller the group a representative represents, the more likely his representation will be accurate to the whole. As well, as the group grows ever bigger, how are we to trust the representatives when you don't know them? Obviously, this type of system has serious flaws and creates an illusion of fair representation.
I propose we eliminate the need to elect 'leaders' or 'representatives'... that is so out-dated and only legitimizes power done by evil-doers. The current system mimics the hierarchical systems of past based on religion and totalitarianism, and has emerged as a cesspool for the rich and powerful to conspire against its own people.
With technology today, let all the people vote on the issues via internet (mobile apps) - why delegate your most important democratic quality to some scumbag who you don't trust. Reminder that participating, not voting, is your most valuable contribution.
This means no more parties. No more greedy, charismatic, political figureheads. People will vote on the issues, and not vote on people to decide the issues for them. People would have the opportunity to participate in their own government everyday. Now tell me that ain't freedom!
This is our destiny as a free people..
- that'd be awesome if there was such a thing as an unhackable app or internetscarabin
- i think the problem is human greed, there has never been a system of government who didn't suffer from itscarabin
- you do your banking online, why not your voting?bliznutty
- direct democracy, not democracy based on representatives, ive been telling it to everyone for yearsdrgs
- i have insurance on my banking. what insurance is there for greed as previously stated?albums
- I think this is the way, people are eye opening and seeing they don´t need be represented by this kind of politiciansOBBTKN
- The lost on values on 90´s and first 00´s has been incredible... we need to rebuild the communitiesOBBTKN
- At last we need to be HUMANS, act like HUMANS, respect the each others... we´re seeing where we´re going if notOBBTKN

Only 50% of the people in the U.S. (that can vote) actually do vote.. when you break that down - that means only 1/4 of the people in this country actually support the current president at any point in time..
- CanHasQBN0
^ Huh?? just because they didn't vote, doesn't mean that they don't support the president. I was busy and out of the country and was not able to put in my vote.
The number one reason why most people do not vote is because they are just too busy during the day.
It should be a day off.

/\ Absolute bullshit.
In America, by law your company has to let you take off work to vote if you need to. As well, you can mail in your vote months ahead of time.50% of the country don't vote because they feel the system is hopeless.. perhaps are poor or uneducated or oppressed by poverty or police..If these people voted they would probably vote to change the entire system on upside-down - not continue it.
12 million less people voted in this election than in 2008.
Everyone is sick of the force-fed options and have watched the dems/republicans bring this country into catastrophic debt, blatant fascism, and endless war.- and you speak for them?waterhouse
- my point is that you can only prove to me 25% of the people support presidentbliznutty
- that's why they say "two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner" - it's not representative of the wholebliznutty
- yup, illusion of choicemoldero
- I feel duped by the whole damn thing. Hopeless start to finish. I might just stop voting.monospaced

bliznutty's totally right on this one. I know a lot of people who didn't vote, for various reasons. Most of them have strong political views too. Lots of talk about which candidate would be better, but still they went to work and then home and skipped the polls. bliznutty's right because these people don't always see their vote as worth something, and even then, a vote might represent supporting the president, but that's kinda where it ends. There's no easy way to actively take part in supporting the president after he's elected, so yeah, I guess people are just sick of the force-fed options that are, frankly, not super impressive in the long run.
So, yeah, they didn't vote, but it's hard to say they actively just don't support the president. Who does, really? It's not like they're actively against him either. Right now half the voters out there are pretty butt hurt over the result, and are probably not supporting the president either. Do you blame them? That's how it works. Some want this guy, some want the other, and a bunch of people want their person, and that's the beauty of Democracy. It's never good enough to make everyone happy, and we switch it up once in awhile.
- shit, I feel like my vote is hopeless, people tell me that all the time in NYCmonospaced
- i totally disagree with you on the 'beauty' part.. it's ugly and needs revisedbliznutty
- Oh, I meant the idea. I agree with you that's it's totally fucked and that we're left with some falst sense of something.monospaced
- if you can't make everyone happy then it is too big! freedom is philosophy of fairness and equalitybliznutty
- I think you'd agree that a beautiful system of democracy would be awesome.monospaced
- you're looking at it, monobliznutty
- democracy works well on small scale like cities, counties, etc.. where it's fairer and reps are more accountablebliznutty
- as it gets bigger, its less representative. "how many rivers do we have to cross before we can talk to the boss"bliznutty

There are five levels of political awareness:
1. illiterate
2. Misinformed
3. General
4. Activist
5. Expert
Unfortunately our country doesn't instill political awareness in our children as much as other countries. We've had it good for generations, no political coups, civil war or tyranny to really get us moving.

so the past few days I've been thinking "fuck chocolate chip cookies sound awesome". I decided to make some from scratch. I went out and bought flower, vanilla extract, etc. It was a lot of fun manually mixing all the ingredients and baking.
I ate two of them and had an absolute sugar overload. Now I'm sitting here with THREE DOZEN cookies absolutely disgusted with them. I have no idea where all of these will go.

just got back from shooting a band for their new album release concert, really big production, 1 shooter didnt show so besides the offstage cams i was the only shooter on stage, running around everywhere making up for the missing stage cam with a full-on flu, sweating like a pig. i think the sweating helped because i feel a lot better. now waiting to get picked up for the after party, my common sense is telling me not to go, but im not listening to it.

finally had a chance to sit down and listen to flying lotus's new album. really amazing stuff, super smooth. part of me wishes he'd go back to the dark and gritty sound he did in hi lp LA... though I guess there are are a ton of copycats out there now.
- i was underwhelmed on first listen. but i'll keep it in rotation and see what i think next time.sine
