i've got stuff to do but i don't wanna. my upswing, list writing enthusiasm does not pair that well with my downswing, let it all go, sit with a cup of coffee reading for hours self. maybe they sell an automated whip slinger so i could get that slight pang on my behind to make me get up and get to it.

well i wonder about it – when i'm in public i don't like to be looked at or watched – so if someone does that i move away or behind an object to obstruct their view. maybe it becomes a game in their mind? i don't know but it really makes me feel uncomfortable.

The sun is shining, I have been out of the house all day reading my new book, and have now returned to cyberspace for only a short while.
I notice for the first time in the year, as the sun streams past the balcony and through our front window, just how grimy and covered in dust and other crap my laptop screen is. I don't think I'm cut out for design sometimes because I'm not nearly obsessed enough with order, with things being in their right place. I'm more concerned with disorder, to be honest. How can this tally up with my chosen career?

Also; I finished the TV series this morning, *the* TV series, and the ending has left me with a funny feeling. I realise its the same one I get when I've finished reading a mammoth novel I've allowed to swallow me up. Never had that with TV before. Bravo to those guys. It has unfortunately left with a desire to see Baltimore first hand though, which I imagine is an unwise touristic ambition.

Shari, I know what you mean. Personally, I try to hide as much as possible in public.
This happens to my friend far more often though. One guy actually stared at her the entire time he got off the bus, and then kept staring while the bus was driving away (with her on it). I witnessed it one time. Other times, older men want to talk to her and be creepy in general. She tries to listen to her music or look like she is occupied, but it never works.

Hello friends. It's about 2:30 on Sunday morning and I am lying awake in bed after sorting out my son's bed-wetting (doesn't happent that often) and being kept awake by my wife's snoring (doesn't happen that often) bit doesn't seem that long ago that I would be up at this hour by choice. Age and mortality are always just on the tip of the tongue of my mind.
