I don't remember telling you about the big fashion client meet-up? You must be a an amazingly focussed psychic. Either that or I just told you and then forgot about it but frankly that seems far fetched as a plausible theory.
We are yet to meet. I ended up too ill to go last week and now he is in the Far East for two weeks. After that we will meet up.
The thing is, I have travelled a LONG LONG way from being stylishly attired, immaculately coiffeured, and amazingly knowledgeable about fashion brands and industry in the last 7 years. Its going to be a bit like asking a farmer to take care of your brand. I need to brush up, scrub down, get me some natty threads.
Also, I'll probably need to wear a corset.

I worked on the two menus for hours and hours and now they have decided not to use one of the dynamic menus. WTF.
It seems like it's less work for me (overall), but I have to remove it now and test other things and add more things, bleh blah blah.
Now I must leave to have lunch with clingy, as he got kicked out of the building for loitering in the front while I was having my meeting.

Hahahahaha, I've just remembered something from my past whilst on a reminiscing train of thought about when I used to work in branding for fashion. One of our brands websites was up for a Design Week award. It was the web design company up for the award but they were nice people and we all went along.
I got massively drunk on the free drink during the award ceremony and then afterwards there was a big after ceremony doo somewhere else.
I was talking to to a rival design company, I forget who it was, but they and us were sworn enemies and the conversation we were having was basically a fairly light hearted but quite heated slagging match, saying how shit the other was. I was on my own really against about ten people and they got the better of me, so I decided to rest on the big table behind me which was covered in lots of glasswear, trophies, bits of ceramic etc, like a giant display. Anyway, it wasn't a table at all, just a giant sheet of something on two tressals and the moment I rested on it, it rose up behind me like the Titanic sinking. I quickly got up again and everything banged noisily back into place but with no harm done.
"Phew. Close call" I thought to myself, and put out my arm out to lean on the wall behind me.
It wasn't a wall at all, just a fabric curtain divider. I fell straight through into another totally unconnected event on the other side, pounding into some bloke's back who fell into a woman in a really fancy frock spilling his beer all over here.
I looked like a right cunt that night, I can tell you.

I once got drunk in Thailand on what I described as a 'hangover bucket', which is a half bottle of the local rum, a can of coke and a small bottle of redbull syrup all served in childs bucket (the kind that you take to ht ebeach to make sandcastles) filled with ice.
We were drinking on the beach at the bar and upon drinking the guts of two of these I decided to go to the loo. Stood up and promptly fell face first into the table with all our drinks on, knocking everything over and tipping the table into the air and back onto me, as I was now face down on the sand.
Spooky, we need to go for a drink or ten, epic epic chaos will ensue.

once at a party in college. some friends and i went out back to smoke up. we were all pretty well drunk already. now, the garden we were in was off the side of the house and it went straight out and down 3 stone steps. on the way back inside. i took one step and just fell over. not lost my balance, not tripped, just fucking tipped over and didn't bother to right myself. i fell into a thorn bush and just laid there. i started yelling and basically convulsing cursing at the bush.
my friends were confused and stoned and couldn't figured out what had just happened. i couldn't explain but i told them i was stuck in this bush and i couldn't get out because of the stickers. someone had to help me. my friends were equal parts laughing and walking away. i was just sitting there helpless in this massive thorn bush, incapacitated because i was so convinced that i couldn't move that i wasn't even trying to stand up.
finally someone pulled my sorry ass out. and we went back inside.
in actuality the bush was only about a foot tall and 2 or 3 feet across.

I just had a look through the Recent Work thread. Its scary how much talent there is out there. I almost feel inclined to never go there again, a la ffffound. I did notice though that Skt's screen visuals for that Graphik website have a screenshot of something that features a lettering treatment I did for Boots last Christmas!...
I never saw it in use. I got paid for it but assumed it was never used anywhere.
