Really excited about Sofia Copploa's new film. Has anyone seen it?

Trailer looked really nice.
Just hope they won't generalize the Japanese, as I am sure they will

I read it's like Sofia's homage to Tokyo so hoping that wont be the case.

Saw it this weekend.
Loved it.
Real dreamy.
Billy was awesome.
Scarlett was hot.
But the real stars were the music and the location.
- dessalles0
I saw it over the weekend.
Ronny is dead on.Its good. There's a lot more to like than dislike. Coppola seems to be an excellent director. The music and cinematography are excellent. Anyone know who did the camera work? And Japan kicks ass.
Bill Murray is ... well... he's Bill Murray. Killer. Johanson is a bit too young though.
Supposedly it was filmed for about $3mill in a ridiculously short period of time. Which is cool.
Thumbs.

never trust a movie review that includes the phrase "Japan kicks ass"
- dessalles0
hehe..it does
don't be a hater
just cause you ain't see Japan do so, don't mean it never done so
you see.

i think that got lost in translation from trickle of dribble to tickle of keyboard....

I hope the rest of her movies continue to be so original in terms of treatment. Also, I'd like to see her brother Roman make another film.

I seems like there's a trend going on. All these tragic comedies with punctuated despondance. Alot of wrtiter/directors are working this way.

looks like a great movie highlighting bill being bill, but that girl does seem to be a little young....
- dessalles0
i believe she's 18.
( in real life)
she plays someone 22/23?
(in the movie)
- Mimio0
All I can remember about her is Thora Birch acted her off the screen in Ghost World. She's a bit dopie.
- dessalles0
however...
i would guess she was casted for that very reason. there isn't a real sense of maturity (for a college graduate) that comes through in her acting. in a way it accents tha age difference between her and bill murray, and it also compliments bill's "immaturity/childness." so actually, now that i think of it, it works out pretty well.
go japan.
