that is technocratic thinking..... which can't be applied here
since you can't disconnect the emotions from the symbols

gaberz is right.
nice theory, useless practice.

of course, I only replicated a viewpoint by the "Friends of the swastika" - to show there are people who really believe they can change the reading of the swastika.
If you read through the conclusion of my writing I also think the swastika should be kept within its current meaning, because as long as there are emotions attached to the symbol, you cannot change it. But people who fight for the redemption of the swastika have similarly positive emotions attached to it, which cannot simply be dismissed as ignorant and wrong.

sure there are positive emotions attached to the original symbol.
But the T-shirts sport the Nazi version... I don't believe people are going to wear it because of the original meaning of the symbol, since it does in no way represent love as we know it in the presented context.
The cloath also don't have any educational value to remind people of its original meaning.
If they would have choosen to present the white swastika on a black background with the meaning printed on the sides..... the effect would have been totally different.

I absolutely agree, gaberz.
I wasn't really referring to this specific example (and I have to admit I haven't read all the posts), but more to a general "omg, there is a swastika!!!" opinion.
