" I know it is a symbol that has alot of nasty history and brought alot of pain to alot of people. But we've all learned from it. Surely we can look at it with different eyes now, its just a symbol after al. "

"No, the mexicans don't bring bombs over but they do keep stealing all the landscaping jobs in California and Texas! "
I suggest you read some history, and then tell me who is stealling from who..

also, take note of Pancho Villa, America's "Boogie Man/ Bin Laden" of the 1910's ... He rode up into New Mexico (or one of those states) and raided a town murdering something like 15 people. Anyhoo, the US in a striking similarity to modern times, sent thousands of troops after him into mexico to bring Villa to justice... they couldn't find him because the locals helped Villa escape into the mountains. The troops finally "retreated" in "failure"
However, Whilst down there, the US also just happened to secure Mexican Oil interests. Just a convienient thing to do you know... Why not kill two birds with one stone right? Kind of like the pipeline that's planned for afghanistan...

wow! this thread really stayed up here!
thx for all your comments, it's a good read.
i am very curious however how the brand/stores will develop (or completely vanish) in the future..
it still is:
bad publicity == publicity..
i am afraid.

laurus man you're an israeli so you're biased mate
your peers are occupying the homes of palestinians for more than 3 decades now
the bombing was reaction to the raid action in an palestinian refugee camp. israel don't give a shit about cease fire, so they pay for it again.
comparing it to the nazis or the american occupation is still valid and only ignorants would refuse to see the minor resemblance. it's just another brutal way to oppress people.
tyrannized people fight back like it's suppose to be.
as for the herbs saying it's just a symbol, why don't you get it tattoed?
fuckers

I don't care how bad people speak of me , as long as they speak about me..

actually did you know that Hugo Boss company designed the uniforms for the Third Reich. Also the Argentines were quite Germanophiles at the same time and their uniforms looked virtaully the same. Just a bit of fashion history. This came out to hurt Hugo Boss a bit recently.

oh btw.. a few days ago on the beach near Amsterdam there was this bloke with ornamental decorations on his blouse.. it was stuffed with swastika's, very small.. but tucked away between dozens of other ancient eastern (religious/spiritual) symbols.
It was the first time i did not take offense..
I mean, in parts of Asia you'll see it everywhere on the streets/buildings/fences.

abercrombie + fitch has been doing this kind of publicity for years.

Didn't Hogan's Heroes portray Nazis like that?

The origin of the Swatiska is actually from ancient India. People today still bow and worship the Swastik. Hitler just turned it around and played with the colours. It's a major symbol of power.
