yikes, I don't like the sound of that one...
I really don't know much about many religions but 'quaker' just makes me think of burning witches. The description doesn't sound so bad though.

Secular humanism = Secular is a godless world. The idea of God is not a priority. Humanism is the idea that man is central. The only thing that really matters is humanity in the here and now. So your probably for abortion for instance and gay rights because "thats what will make someone happy now"
This is probably the most common religion today. It is quite compatible to materialism - products to make people happy in the here and now.
Eternity is probably something you don't really think about much. Jesus Christ is probably a "Great Teacher" to you. Not the son of God as he uniquely claimed and backed up with his life.

scransom, you're building a rickety bridge between a Godless mentality and materialism.
You need to take a minute and ask youself a question: What is God?
In my opinion, you'll find out pretty quickly that the answer really has nothing to do with whether or not you'd like to own a Barcelona chair.
In fact, I believe God would very much approve of the purchase of a such a passionate and lovingly created item.

anyways, i was wrong, didn't know that humanism is considered atheists or agnostics in that test.
anyways, i'm a 100% humanist, 95% universalist and a 88% liberal protestant (whoah deja vu).
must say, that site defenition of agnostic leaves out one important detail and that is that agnosts do not deny the existence of any god, if you can prove a god excists agnosts will believe.

In the end, I guess it all comes down to wether you believe in mankind or not. For the most part, I do, but I have my doubts from time to time.
