Interesting what it chose based on my answers:
1. Orthodox Quaker (100%)
2. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (91%)
3. Seventh Day Adventist (87%)I was pleased to see that this "test" included Secular Humanism as a religion. :)

ummm...that last thing we need is another religious debate on here.
ancient internet proverb says "argueing on the internet is like competeing in the special olympics, win or lose, you're still retarded."

It is interesting how frequently spiritual and religious topics arise on here, lately.

seems like a lot of us are unitarian universalists...
- QuincyArcher0
very true. and it's not just here, but really, everywhere. and it doesn't just have to do with the new pope.
- ribit0
who is the leader of the Universal Unitarianists?
- discipler0
It's curious. I think maybe it's because of our postmodern culture - people are hungering for something deeper than that which they've been persuing.
- ribit0
or the Unitarian Universalists even?

Unversalists basically embrace every faith so long as it's not hurting anybody. It's an everything-goes kind of belief system. They've blurred the line between the objective and subjective.

or, its the exact opposite. People are sick of deep, meaningful stuff, and just wants to be shallow, materialistic and bitchy. Like me.
- ribit0
the Unitarialist Universarians practise antidisestablishmentarianism, right?
- discipler0
hah! jox, I think that's the very attitude that is causing people to lay in bed at night wondering if there's more. ;)

i closed the window already

I thought the universalists embrace all faiths, but more importantly dont really care about any of the faiths, seeing them as 'not applicable' to the real world apart from their cultural/social role...

i come into contact with people of many different belief systems...alot them are "finding religion" because they wonder about the current events in our world. do recent events, like the tsunami, or passing of the pope, have any real meaing...etc.

When Kant argued (rather powefully) for the existance of God. One of his key points was the "Ontological argument" which suggests that everyone is born with a sort of God-shaped-hole, if you will. A longing for a relationship with their creator.
The problem is, so many are trying to jam the wrong puzzle piece into the hole. Just my opinion.
