Hey gang.
Input devices (NON-sexual!)...
I've been using an Apple "Magic" Keyboard & Apple "Magic" Mouse for years (as per Steve's dying wish), BUT with the passage of time, inching closer and closer to death I'm no longer "feelin' it". Hands hurting more, ergonomics lacking, etc.
My wife has a Logitech "Master MX", BUT I'm not feeling it; too complex, bulky, etc.
What are ya'll using? Apple and/or PC.
Thanks in advance for all related and unrelated feedback!

Mechanical keyboard and trackball is the way.
- Which specifically @palimpsest? I'm feelin' this combo, BUT afraid to "pull the trigger" as it were...
Old habits dying hard (and what not).ideaist - I would give a 60% keyboard a try for starters, you'll already be reducing a lot of travel without too many sacrifices. Keychron Q4.palimpsest
- The ZSA Navigator is what I'm working towards.
Also, learn VIM motions.palimpsest - For the keyboard get something with hot swappable switches that's easy to customize. The experience is very rewarding, it almost motivates you too work.palimpsest

- Seconding Keychron, K2 here. MX Master 2S isn't really too bulky IMO, but I do have freakhands.garbage

My Razer mouse died a few months back and I read that the brand's quality had taken a nose-dive, so decided to look further afield. As it happened, I for some reason clicked into a gaming-hardware related newsletter I've never bothered cancelling, despite not playing games for... well, years, and saw a mouse on offer. Looked at it - it was very well reviewed, but looked like complete arse, but I thought 'fuckit' and bought one.
It looks even worse in person - like, really cheap, and in use not helped by the fact that my hands get grubby at work and the rubber pads you can stick on the sides are now a horrid-looking black colour, but... this is probably the best mouse I've ever used. It's like it's not there - it's so light, just the right sort of small and the accuracy and pace its got are wonderful.
They do come in solid variants that I imagine look a lot better...
- The less said about my keyboard, the better.Nairn
- (Oh, and because it's a gaming mouse, it's fairly customisable, including turning that fucking light off).Nairn
- Lolz @ your (@Nairn) keyboard-based shame!!!

Semi-related, BUT I have "Klack" installed on my laptop as a precursor to going back to a mechanical keyboard:
It's super fun AND I dream of writing using it in some strange past meets present/future "typewriter" situation.

Keychron low profile mechanical keyboard + still using a Magic Mouse
- Which one @duckseason?
https://www.keychron…ideaist - I don't think they sell the exact version I have anymore. The K5 Wireless looks close.duckseason

Low-profile mechanical is the way, I couldn't go back to normal-profile now. I have been using a LOWFREE Flow 84 for about a year and love how it feels. I do have some gripes (shit battery, pointless LED on the front I immediately covered up). I was eying up a keychron but couldn't stomach the default keycaps, they never have the nice plain ones in stock... definitely limited for customisation options when it comes to low-profile mechanical.
I use a logitech G superlight mouse on PC, magic mouse on Mac
- The limited options on a low profile is why I wouldn't recommend it as a first keeb. I prefer to try different switches until I get it dialed.palimpsest
- I wouldn't mind low profile for a travel keeb. I still haven't tried it though.palimpsest
- yeah, i don't change much. i switch keyboard between mac and PC so fairly limited in that sense too. just a snob for same-coloured keycaps, and good fontskingsteven
- Have you tried group buys like Drop?palimpsest

Keyboard, I've been using a Nuphy Air 75, low-profile mechanical, for the last 3 years or so. Very happy with it!

For a mouse, I've been using a Logitech Ergo Pro trackball for the last 7 or 8 years. It's amazing, and my wrist feels great. Takes some getting used to, but I can't go back to a mouse now!

The Logitech MX Anywhere mouse is less bulky than the MX Master. I like it because I can easily switch back and forth between my Mac and PC.
The MX mini keyboard is great for the same reason. I tried the MX Mechanical keyboard and decided I wanted to limit the noise of the keys.
The mechanical keyboard does have some nice lighting effects that I miss. But the quiet typing was a win for me.

Nothing too fancy for me:
Logitech g502 - we have the same at work
Varmilo TKL mechanical keyboard with brown caps.

I'm on a PC and the Logitech MX Anywhere mouse software (Logi Options+) disables your ability to copy and paste in illustrator.
I don't think I need to tell any of you how frustrating this is.
I had to remove the software so can't customise any buttons, which was why I forked out the axtra $$$ for the feckin thing
MX Keys Mini is an amazing keyboard
- Odd. I have noticed that Illy sometimes just refuses to acknowledge keyboard copy-pasting, and i don't have any logitech stuff installed.Nairn
- Have also experienced illy ignoring key commands on a Mac when I switch between MS officr apps.monospaced

Linear layouts are the new hotness, but I like the traditional. Keychron Q11 is a great split option, you can push them together and it's just a regular keyboard. I've got the two about 10" apart, and added some risers to 'tent' them a bit. Plus it's got 2 knobs and a column of macro keys that you can program to do whatever using VIA/QMK:

- @palimpsest, I'm leaning towards the trackball / mechanical combo, BUT it's a big change from Apple "magic" devices...
