Low-profile mechanical is the way, I couldn't go back to normal-profile now. I have been using a LOWFREE Flow 84 for about a year and love how it feels. I do have some gripes (shit battery, pointless LED on the front I immediately covered up). I was eying up a keychron but couldn't stomach the default keycaps, they never have the nice plain ones in stock... definitely limited for customisation options when it comes to low-profile mechanical.
I use a logitech G superlight mouse on PC, magic mouse on Mac
- The limited options on a low profile is why I wouldn't recommend it as a first keeb. I prefer to try different switches until I get it dialed.palimpsest
- I wouldn't mind low profile for a travel keeb. I still haven't tried it though.palimpsest
- yeah, i don't change much. i switch keyboard between mac and PC so fairly limited in that sense too. just a snob for same-coloured keycaps, and good fontskingsteven
- Have you tried group buys like Drop?palimpsest
