- beautiful. I'm loving all the hard work and effort some of you are putting into these things, I've gained a whole new appreciation for this tool as a legit_niko
- way to make art._niko
- Dunno, while these are cool it's really diminishing the time/skill/talent it takes/took to make something real. Now it's just copied/pasted prompts.formed
- I like these things as inspiration to make real world large scale paintings.PhanLo
- ^That's what's upgrafician
- Yeah, if you do that, that's awesome and something I might give a go, too. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, just frustratingformed
- (almost) anyone can make nice shit so easily.formed
- Make it art.palimpsest
- formed - it's not quite that. You can get '60% there' sometimes, but that 40% is where 'our talents' still come in 110%.Nairn
- also, there is definitely an 'art' to deriving and iterating prompts to get close to that 60%. It's both terrifying and comforting...Nairn
- Yeah, but as you feed them you are training an engine that will make your talents irrelevant. Should be scary for younger folks (it is).garbage
- These are the toy systems, and within a few years there will be proprietary engines that corporations and crap artists will use for a hefty fee.garbage
- The actual creators are the middleman that these systems are going to cut out. It's weird to me that people don't get this.garbage
- It's already started replacing people in copywriting and lower level design. New ML engines are going to be more powerful by several orders of magnitude.garbage
- And before I get poo-poo'd with things like "if you're worried about AI, you're not good enough", the big one hasn't dropped yet.garbage
- Adobe Sensei is going to put a lot of really talented people out of business real quick.garbage
- Anybody who has used CC for the past 8 years or so has been training Sensei. That was one of the main reasons they went to the cloud.garbage
- The camera killed oil painting.palimpsest
- I heard that a lot of art galleries are closing down because of AI.palimpsest
- I mean, yeah - but as pal suggests - every 'evolution' erm.. evolves things. I do wonder whether this ten years down the line might make UBIncome A Thing.Nairn
- It's still not making art though, I mean artworld art. I'm looking forward to the day it will. For now it's just making NFT art.palimpsest
- And when it will I'm looking forward to how we'll use it.palimpsest
- From the comments I gather that if a human were to paint this by hand only then it would become art.palimpsest
- I'll just wait for an AI to be smart enough to declare that it's making 'Art' before I know that it's just being a pretentious cunt and should be ignored.Nairn
- AI is too smart to pretend it's making art, that's a matter for the plebes.palimpsest
- AI imitates graphic styles which is what has the plebe up in arms. I would like it see imitate young artist like Ivan Argote or Julia Weist.palimpsest
- Creative outlets are therapeutic for me. "making" AI generated art removes the part I enjoy. So, I don't have any interest. But, I do like some of it.section_014
- This is the sort of thing I've been making kind of inspired by AI https://www.qbn.com/…PhanLo
- I find drawing the machine stuff tedious and time consuming. Painting in the street is ultimately a pointless pursuit, a waste of life. If I can speed the...PhanLo
- ...process up a bit with AI then I'll use it.
Everyone on here is closer to death than youth, so you might as well make things. You'll be dead soon.PhanLo - All the details are my favorite part! That links dead, btw.section_014
- Ah, it was just a post in the graffiti art thread :-)PhanLo

Giger Prawns in decaying display cases.
My mate draws stuff a bit like this so I was trying to create a photoreal version, ended up creating some mutants.

Not the best example but Open AI just released some demos of a new text to video generator called Sora that can do upto 60 seconds and is quite consistent.

:)Nairn - added 'vascular, guts and organs' to the mix. I love the bits where it gets spindly with the negative space. The base for that was a really triangular abstractPhanLo

Today I tried to draw some machine parts to re-generate some other part sheets from them, which I did. It more or less worked, creating an infinitea mount of machine parts that I'd use for kitbashing backgrounds.

I also threw it into a vascular nightmare generator that had some interesting outcomes.
-- Your stuff is literally the best stuff I've seen people using this shit. The way YOU are working with this tech is truly inspiring, man.Nairn
- Cheers Nairn, I share some of the stuff with my mate at work and he always says but it looks a bit badly drawn. :-) But that's sort of the aim.PhanLo
- Everyone likes the perfect stuff, which the AI does well, (minus fingers) but I really like making it seem more like something I might draw.PhanLo
- Some of my favourite stuff I've was loads of images of Egon Schiele doing graffiti through a 7.5mm fisheye in Japan. So they were all drawn in a line art stylePhanLo
- but had Egon Schiele style posters and murals on the walls of this weird Tokyo street scene. Occasionally they would look like something I would draw.PhanLo
- "he always says but it looks a bit badly draw" lol, and therein lies the art :) But yes, it's that aspect I most admire.Nairn
- I think I broke my Mac from having too many windows open in my browser so it might be a wee while before I get back to it. Facepalm dot gifPhanLo

- you could always extrude in illustrator...or is this a new/better version? looks cool whatever you did :)_niko

- It's apparently a slightly different way of making images compared to Stable Diffusion, so will be interesting to see where it goes.PhanLo
- it is stable diffusion, it just has its conditions set to use edge detection (and a more aesthetically tweaked model)kingsteven

My sister loves books, and panda bears. So I've had this idea to make her a set of "Ex Libris" plates with some illustrations of pandas on them for many years. I just never got around it. Particularly the illustrations part was daunting.
This Xmas past while trying to think what to get for her, the idea surfaced again. I am no illustrator, but I was able to use Midjourney to generate print quality pandas.
She was delighted by them!
(Poor handcutting by me from the test print. Surname pixellated to protect identity)
- Added the copy and trim lines afterwards in Photopea. Just the illustrations where done in MJ.skinny_puppy

- It's pretty amazing what Adobe Generative Fill can do.
https://i.imgur.com/…utopian - The ones I made below were originally 1024 square and I used the Photoshopfill to extend them to 1920x1080 then upscaled with Krea.PhanLo
- It's good because it gets rid of the oddities photoshop adds in and make the image more whole. It's been good drawing reference.PhanLo
- seems of for upscaling generated work but for actual photographs it changes things too much, people look different and not just in an uncanny valley way,_niko
- it turned an image of my Chinese friend into a Kazakh/caucasian and changed details in the background and looks more illustrated.
But it is pretty amazing thoug_niko - ah never mind I see there is stylize and realism sliders_niko
